Today I'm playing possibly the greatest baseball game ever created! MVP Baseball 2005, This game was my childhood and to this day is one of, if not THE best baseball video game ever created! I wish EA wasn't so money hungry these days cause I would be all for a new MVP baseball game in 2024. Anyway, If you want to see any other classic baseball video games from this era, let me know!! This game was my life as a kid totally forgot about it until this video
I played the hell out of this game myself. I use to love redoing the teams.
EA also had to compete with Sony and the 2k series where putting effort into their product was a necessity to sell copies. If you still play madden you’ll understand the importance. The franchise mode simulation was one of the most realistic modes of any sports series with the best teams run differential +=200 and flipped for the worst teams. The league parody was perfected. It always crack me up how much they’d juice the ratings of Cubs players living in 2003 with cy young campaigns from Wood and Prior
I played the hell out of this game but as a Yankees fan I would have to deal with the "World Champion Red Sox" every time, and their Tessie rally song. The music did make the game though and brought in the early-mid 2000's aesthetic. Baserunning was annoying as when I pushed the button that made the guy on second advance to third the guy on first would also advance to second. I ran myself into so many triple and double plays in the games. I have to admit I played on easy mode a lot just to put up a 25-0 shutout on the Red Sox.
