The morning started off with an Anthony Bourdain inspired banh mi visit at Banh Mi Phuong at 2B Phan Chau Trinh. This banh mi was so filling and meaty, Unfortunately for me, it wasn't the best in the world, but it was delicious nevertheless.
Then I met a street singer who along with his two friends sell personal toiletries like q tips and toothbrushes in the streets of Hoi An. Great street performance.
Afterwards we went over to Cua Dai Beach, the closes beach to Hoi An where I bought some fake sunglasses and flew a kite.
The airport in Da Nang was crowded as usual and our flight was delayed for about an hour. Arriving back into Saigon later than expected, I met up wtih some Canadian friends and we had a late lunch and I went home and crashed in exhaustion.

thank you for your support to those poor vendors. They are on the streets all days to sell things to collect pennies to support their families. your a few dollars is really mean and help them a lot. That singing guy is really good. the song is sad but so touching emotion (about a man in love with a lady but could not marry her..)
I've loved every minute of it.shared where I could.

this vlog is great!
I really loved this video. My parents’ hometown was 10 kms from Hoi An; They moved to Saigon in early 60’s, my mom used to called the tofu pudding lady to the house after lunch and all of us would have pudding for dessert. And haha, I was born in Lac Xuan hospital, Go Vap!!! Btw, my eyes were on Andrew the whole time lol.
Lol I literally ran into Seb & Nina in pmh the other day. Also, that shirt is legendary.

The Street Singer was outstanding and the Banh Mi really looked delicious.....I miss hearing all the beeping of the motor cycles and buses in Vietnam.......I miss hearing the lady with the cart in District 1 that sells those wonderfully sweet green oranges.....looking GOOD Andrew! BTW, the folks are great who own the Vinh Chung Hotel in District 1 in Saigon......another thought, the food is also great at the restaurant, The Rose, in Saigon.....

The best part about this video is by far the singing part... One moment you're concern about being rip off, the next moment you are so generous with a big heart for the vendors. LOL

even though ther might not be that big of a difference between vendors with carts or shops or vendors without, it varies

Hey kyle..being bringe watching your videos. I know im late but better late then never. Love that shirt at the end of the video. Are they still available, would love to buy one.
Kyle le he has a great heart, i Love your job, guy.
Kyle: very cool of you to support the vendors like that. Shows true character.

My true character is what I do off camera. On camera is an extension of who I am but everyone acts and behaves differently when there is a camera around. Just because I help a vendor on camera doesn't mean I'm a good person. It just means I like to help very vendors. I'm a good person when I have many good people around me. Not because of what I do on and for KZread.
thumbs up for supporting the vendors, i always buy stuff that i don't need. they work so hard!

what was the name of the song the guy sang at the beginning?
Wow that man can sing, I don't understand a single word, but it sounds Atahua(Beautiful), since watching ur video's, and hearing about their stories, I have learnt more about Vietnam than what they taught us at school, from bk in my days, the 70's-80s. All I know is, War stuff that we only saw on tv, Sorry Kyle, but I don't like America Canada England and Australia, bkoz of History. I do like South Korea, Japan and no thanks to U, Vietnam, you've enspired me, so I Thanku for opening my mind and exploring their country. Comment by Tracy Iraia 🇳🇿🌏🇳🇿 NZ 😎
This place went down hill because they had an E-Coli outbreak with their banh mi’s. Over 300 people got sick. Not everyone is scared to eat at that banh mi stall.
a new video to finish the day, yeah :)
What is the song the street performer was singing
Good video Kyle. So where is the best banh mi in Vietnam in your opinion? Thanks.

Banh Mi Phuong was the best banh mi I ever had and I live in SoCal! We went there for banh mi every morning when we're in Hoi An. Gets the Special with egg, only 25,000 vnd. I'd skip the Roast Pork...it's tough and chewy.
