THE BEST BACKPACK FOR WILDLIFE AND BIRD PHOTOGRAPHERS! F-Stop Shinn Review
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
After searching for months I finally found the perfect camera bag for wildlife photographers and bird photographers. A bag that can carry the long lens and still have room for extra bodies and lenses.
In this video I review the F-stop Shinn 80L (fstopgear) and tell you why it checks all the boxes for me.

@@fstopgearOfficial Thanks a lot. I will definitely do that.
Great video, thank you. Literally just bought one today on ebay in the UK... I got the Ajna a few years ago but it's not enough for 2 bodies + 2 long lenses + food... The Shinn looks perfect for my needs! Cheers! 👍🏻
Fstop bags are great. I have the Tilopa 50L, I use for wildlife photography. I ultimately bought it for a lot of the reasons you outlined.
Thanks for taking the time to go through this and explain the features in details. It sounds like a superb piece of kit. To me the inclusion of a space for a water bladder is a winner: in Australia, it can get quite hot and distances (to walk for landscape photography) can be significant. A single water-bottle won't be enough.
Best information about this Backpack ever made!! This video made my choise. Thank you so very much

You’re very welcome. Thank you for the kind words
Hi Carsten, Very good review. I have the f-Stop Tilopa and I just love it. I thought about also buying the f-stop Shinn for longer trips (2-3 days) with room for food, clothing, tent, etc. Love your style, very calm and informative, not the usual intense KZread style :-)

Thank you very much for the kind words Anders. The Tilopa is very cool too. I’m going on a 5 day trip in a week from now and I think the Shinn will be perfect for that. Thanks a lot. When I started this channel in January I quickly decided that I had to be true to my own style and not try to follow the usual KZread pace and lingo. If people think I’m too boring they can always play the video at 1.5x speed 😊
This is the best bag review I’ve ever seen - thank you! This is the bag I need!

Thank you very much!
I ordered mine yesterday because I had outgrown my previous backpack and I ordered a new camera. In two weeks I leave for Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, to say I'm excited would be an understatement.
Great review!
Great video! Unfortunately not in a green color or camouflage. But still hard to find the right bag for a 600 mm 😊
Hi Carsten, A good review, I’ve not heard of F-Stop I will certainly check them out. 👍

Thanks! I can highly recommend them. The bags are top level quality and the ICU system is very clever.
I think they listened to you and added the pockets ;-) I hope they made it different colors.

I think you’re gonna love it! I think it’s a great bag and I’m not affiliated with Fstop
Nice video. I’m wondering about getting this bag more so for my larger setup, I currently have the Tilopa 50L pack. I am planning on doing some wild camping when on my photography adventures, I already have the gear but the bag I’m struggling with room. I think this bag I would use every now and then. It would be nice to have larger side pockets like you mentioned for a water bottle, my bladder for the water goes where my laptop would go and that’s just on the other side of my icu… I worry if that gets punctured my gear would get damaged so I don’t use it. I find the front pocket fits two 1.5L bottles of water inside just fine.
Super fed video. Den taske kan virkelig have plads til meget.... God video!!

Have you traveled on a plane with this pack? I am trying to figure out how to travel with my new 600 F4...

Hi Carsten, thank you for the on-point review. Do you think a 600mm with a pro-body would fit, attached!?
@ThamdrupWildlife
2 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I can fit the 500 on a pro body including an extender so the 600 might fit with a body attached although it might be a tight fit

@@ThamdrupWildlife Great thanks bud, love your content, keep at it.
Thank you for this video. Can you please measure the inside of the ICU with and without the detachable wall? Measurements of the Cine Master ICU are not available on the Fstop website or on sites such as Bh, Adorama, etc. Thanks.

Thanks a lot. I hope you found it useful. The inside width of the Cine ICU is 36 cm. The length of the main compartment is approx. 49 cm with the wall installed and approx. 59 cm on the longest side when the wall is removed. Keep in mind that the Cine ICU is sloped at the top so it is still around 49 on the short side with wall removed. I hope this makes sense

@@ThamdrupWildlife Thank you so much! That was very helpful. I want a bag that will accommodate a 600 F4 w/ TC and camera attached + 200-600 w/ camera attached and maybe room for a macro lens. I think this Shinn + Cine ICU will barely fit the 600 F4 mounted with the body and TC. Thanks!
@ThamdrupWildlife

@@randeezy3914 any time! I think it will be a very tight fit with the 600 and camera body if possible at all. I don’t think you’ll be able to fit the tc on in any case. Another thing to keep in mind is the lens hood. The 600 is way bigger in diameter than my 500 which will leave you less room on the sides. But maybe you will be able if you divide the icu into two rows instead of three like mine. Then the 600 w/ body and the 200-400 w/ body could possibly sit opposite each other
