Thank you so much for this recipe. I made it exactly per instructions except I left out Mahlab since I didn’t have it. It came out exactly like yours and so delicious. To be honest I don’t like baking with yeast, but I made an exception for Easter. Thank you so much for the concise visual instructions. My husband kept on praising me, he loved it. Next time will try it with Mahlab. I’m saving your recipe Ani as my go to for Easter Armenian bread. I wonder if it’s possible to recreate the same taste and pull apart texture with sourdough. Anyhow I’m impressed at how delicious it came out. Thank you again.

Hello chef . Merry Christmas. I am Egyptian. Thanks to lovely Armenian people who came to live with us , we took this recipe from them . I learned it with a twist . We make it with oil and we add raisins. I grew up loving this bread . I loved to bake it for myself. I made a anther little twist ☺️. I don’t add mahlab as it is not always available for me . So I soak the raisins in rose water and besides the milk I use this rose water to knead . The results is so satisfying for me . Pardon me if I messed up with the original recipe but I love too much to the extent to make it by all means 😍. Loved your recipe . Keep up the good work . 🌷🌷

Yes at times, we also add raisens and also walnuts along with the Raisins. IT comes out divine. Every year it is a must for me to make this for the Christmas, and I make 3 to 4 times more then the given recipe 😱🤪 and give it to family and friends. Everyone simply love it. Thank you again my friend, and thank you for your message. Please stay safe 🙏 and have a blessed Christmas .
