Just copying the SoundtrackFix files isn't enough, you need to run the batch file to apply the fix.

Got this working on my Steam Deck earlier today, and it is awesome! The latest version even has an option to correct the HUD elements during the race so they're no longer stretched for wide screen. There are even high res texture options, but I haven't tried those out yet.

I was glad I found this. I thin l last year. Pretty happy with higher resolution than on the consoles.

I thought this game was lost from the XBox 360/PS3 storefront and gone forever; thanks for pointing this out and ensuring more people get to enjoy this game for years to come!

@@rguitar78 for me i got all versions so far(i think) Xbox, ps3, ps2, psp, pc. Then on ps2 emulator, ps3 emulator, psp emulator.

I had Rick Astley, "Never Gona Give You Up" blasting out the day the Xbox version released as custom soundtracks were a built-in feature out the box lol. 😆😂🤣

I have this on PS2 & Xbox, I highly recommend the Xbox version of Outrun 2 as it has bonus racetracks from the Arcade exclusive SCUD Race and Daytona USA 2, it also has the best audio, and silky smooth 60 FPS @ 480p via component or VGA, as for Outrun C2C, I have the PS2 version and PSP version too as they sync up, so I can race my track ghosts on the PSP version. Outrun 2 on Xbox is the best game out of the two games though, own both if possible, but Outrun 2 is the better standalone title because it's arcade perfect, with an amazing mission campaign, better handling, better looking, and rock solid 60 FPS.

@@mmpsp693 the PSP version had low FPS from what I recall. I think you could overclock it to get better results, but I never tried it.

@@PixelCherryNinja Xbox emulation is now 99% perfect on a decent PC, I believe it has better compatibility than the Xbox 360 BC, which was already @ 95% perfect, trust me bruv, Outrun 2 is the better game, C2C is a decent console racer, but Outrun 2 on Xbox is an Arcade perfect port with Scud Racer & Daytona USA 2 tracks.

@Wobble2007 How would you rate OutRun Online Arcade for PS3? It's supposed to have all the tracks and features from Outrun 2. It's apparently superior to the Outrun Online released on Xbox 360 as Sony didn't have the same file size limits for downloadable titles as they did 360 at the time so no tracks were cut in the port apparently. Would you rate the PS3 version better than the OG Xbox version? Trying to keep track of all the differences between the versions is tricky business!

I love Outrun 2006 Coast to Coast PCN. I spent many hours in the arcades playing it. Still a fun game after all these years. 8^) Anthony,,

You have great taste.

Love this game, even before the patch I thought that the graphics really held up and now it looks even better. What other racing game you can drive a Ferrari while avoiding meteors and alien abductions, classic Sega arcade greatness.

Yeah, it seems like this is a good easy set of fixes but generally does a lot less than OutRun 2FXT.

there are some really cool outrun remixes that would be handy for this like this one...Out Run Remix - Splash Wave Remix Synthwave / Retrowave / OutRun

@@SuperEarther I tried liking it, the rubber banding sucks and enemy AI is way too aggressive. I still ended up buying it for Steam and the Switch 🤦‍♂️

So far, cant make this work with my wheel :/ (TSXW), looks like control options are not saved or whatsoever, anyone with a fix ?

I've run this new version now, I think it looks a bit dark in certain stages, Tecknoparrot looks brighter and better in certain areas and also the Chiro version in Cbx reloded in my opinion n but maybe that's not right? What is your opinion which one is best now with this fix is ​​it better than an arcade machine ?

Try Outrun2 FXT on Outrun Coast to coast an even more in depth mod that I found and installed about 4 years ago ! updated textures, fog, shading , AntiAiliasing etc etc, it even lets you put it into a mode that seems more like the Arcade version in terms of menu choices if you want. Sorry I have no idea where I got it before but just try a search eh ?

This is a classic which I play using my Thrustmaster T500RS wheel. However, once I copy over the patch files it breaks the controller input. It thinks the keyboard is a wheel and it thinks the wheel is a keyboard and it doesn’t let me alter the inputs. Such a shame.

@@PixelCherryNinja The car brand are of no matter to me as well. I know they released a remake of daytona usa, rebranded as Sega Classic racing or something. So yeah. Just some generic car models in red, would be nice. I would even do the car design for free if they contacted me. And then they could release it as Outrun 2025 NG or something. (NG are for New Generation)

I really wish the multiplayer wasnt so borked. This game just always seems to desync. Seems like the only good multiplayer experience is the actual arcade cab or im doing something wrong

@@PixelCherryNinja I'll settle for LAN but even then it's not a great experience. If you're playing outrun 2 or C2C on the original Xbox (or emulated) you can play online through insignia. It's really fun but lacks all the improvements

Got this running on my laptop and it worked great with all the new changes. However, when I moved it to my Steam Deck, the tweaks no longer functioning. Any idea why? The game runs just fine but can't feel any rumbling, which is the main reason I like the new tweaks.
