It is nice to see you have an experience with Angels that pretty much matches my experience with Angels... Angels win once in a while, but they get clowned a lot. Also many opponents have the perfect curve on the play. It doesn't seem like they should have it as often as they have it, based on, you know, math... but they do.

That's not so much an issue with angels, it's an issue with how the arena algorithm/shuffler works. The fact that someone can play arena and experience the bullshit and defend those things or act like they don't exist is absolutely mind boggling to me

Pay money and win more. That's how it works, anyone who thinks otherwise is simply naive and clueless (hint - google patented algorithms for competitive online games, term: first E, then O, then M and another M (term probably gets auto-removed here, at least it used to be)

That sneaky Jodah deck was on one heck of a draw! Mono white with Cavern into 5C Humans with 4 kindred lands... It was like you were playing against two different decks!

at 29:30 i thought “if they have the case here we may see cgb break” and i certainly saw something break when the case dropped seconds later

It took me way longer that I'm willing to admit to realize that all intros are the same.

Ironic. CGB made an angel deck, yet he's in hell.

Whenever I play a meme deck like this and try to play a 4 mana angel on curve while the opponent ramps out game ending 7-9 mana cards or just board wipes or combos off, I'm always thinking:" Yeah, I could just be playing good cards, instead."

You know, Mr. B, although you sometimes struggle with the losses when it looks as if the game is stacked against you, at least you show it to the world and not manipulate the content only to show the wins, like some other content creators. You and LegenvD are always true to this and I respect you dearly.

Classic CGB “I scryed non-lands to the bottom how come I’m only drawing lands?”

I've lost all the way from Diamond 1 to the bottom of Diamond 4. It's a humbling experience. Then, I scrapped myself off the bottom and ran all the way to Mystic.

"I really hate Magic right now", yeah.....I feel that one. I decided I could work my way to mythic rank or I could enjoy playing MTG. The game is a lot more fun when the focus is on making a deck do its thing over making that link light go up.

This is why I stopped playing standard altogether and just focus on 100 card Brawl. I don't have to care about rank and having more than 1 copy of a given card and my MTG experience is all the better for it lol.

I feel like in almost every video there's at least two games where CGB goes against the slowest possible player with the best possible luck

This video and these games are my life on Arena all too often. I feel you man.

Honestly with that game vs domain after watching you long enough now and seeing the land scryed to the bottom I fully expected it to be another land and that it would just devolve even further. Ya love to see it when the deck pulls through for ya!

@@danielquigley2695 Honestly I really don't mind the change they made where cards stay in rotation for longer. For me at least it makes there be a bigger pool of cards to choose from thus making more creative decks. But what they should do is pick out the like top 5 most overused cards every year and ban them..Which would still force things to not get too stale but also keep a lot more options in cards. idk just an idea it probably would still make people angry lol

The deck is beautiful when it works. It's so rewarding if you can squeeze out a win, but very often you just can't get to that point. It's a nice deck if you plan to play it in Standard Play and feel the joy of some beautiful wins. But in my opinion it's just not for ranked EDIT: I've been there crafting expensive Angels for Standard Ranked and I got grounded very soon every time

39:35 could have saved the face-down Vindicator by turning it face up once they'd paid the ward cost for the disguised version. The face-up Vindicator has its own ward cost, which must be paid separately - opp was tapped out at that point.

I wish we had access to replay while we were in the match so we could dial it back and look at their hand in the post game to see what the hell they were tanking about.

What's the best way to get Resplendent Angel? I feel like I see this card in every one of your angel decks but I just don't have the wildcards to craft it I guess a better question is what is the best way to get mythic wildcards without straight up buying them

Do you need the full 4 play with fires and helixes if your creatures are great against agro? Maybe. Couple Thalia could shore up the control/combo matchup while also being a decent body.

I dont generally believe in conspiracy theories, and usually tell myself I could have done something better in a match, but wow 😳. The games in this video were something straight out of a horror story. Just pure magical christmas land for your opponents.

I tried so hard to make an angel deck work. White black with lifegain and amalia with voice, other white black aggro, white black green, monowhite, white blue... And all failed. Too slow vs control, to expensive vs aggro... With the rotation getting even worst. To win you have to trust in bad draw for the opponent and that's just sad

I was wondering if there is any data to back up the claim that this is the best angels deck? Any comparison over a longer period of time to other angel combinations?

When you said a deck that had only played mono-white humans so far might have Ertai I thought you were insane. Then they actually had it wtf...

not many things in magic make me saltier than losing to a pile of junk that just happened to get a perfect draw into me. that game against UW artifacts is a perfect example.

And days like this are literally my usual. Welcome to the "other side of the Arena luck". I have only found a way out by changing decks, and that isn't full proof. See guys? Even CGB doesn't get all the good times.

Yup, this is exactly why I'm only playing Brawl till rotation.

@@TsujiCross my first ever MH3 draft on MTGA ended with an 0-2 opponent who had drafted TWO Nadu and an entire aura matters list. Completely stomped me to a quick 0-3... Needless to say, that card is rule 0'd out of every commander pod I play in for the rest of my life 😠

Do you ever get that feeling that MtG Arena is fixing matches? Especially as of late I can't seem to be able to play 3 matches without either being or running into an opponent that has literally every card in their top 15 to win the match in 4 to 5 turns without encountering any resistance.

@@honestabe411 This is the most tinfoil conspiracy theory that I actually buy into. Somehow, things happen on arena that I haven't ever seen in over a decade of playing in paper. Maybe that's just the nature of higher sample size from being able to grind out game after game online but it just FEELS off sometimes. I have no real facts or data to back it up, though xD

Arena is so broken, the last 27 games I have played I was 21 times on the draw. WTF and then 90% against aggro, the games I was on the play I was either mana screwed out of the hell or opponet had all cards they´ve needed to answer my threads. This matchmaking is the greatest shit on earth, when I play the same decks on paper this never happens in this dimension.

TRY ANGELS DECK WITH 3 SKREV 4 BAT 4 DURESS AND 2 SANCTUARY WARDEN ITS SO FUNNY THE CONTROL AND COMBO DECKS CRY. u dont need the tiches angel, only steel seraph resplendent giada archeangel and aurelia and 4 removal

love the way this deck plays, but as soon as I crafted it up, the deck composition of what I get paired against, completely changes, and now I mostly see these decks that are almost designed to beat this. Barely ever saw the kinds of decks I am seeing now. The match making is utter crap, and really makes me want to stop playing altogether. Even though you can still have good matches, you just know it's rigged, and it casts a pallor over the entire experience. It's pretty gross really.

Standard is a toxic cesspit atm, it's either dump your entire hand and have it turning sideways by turn 3 or control with 8 boardwipes in it.
