This is the one topic very few channels talk about in depth but its most important, after all everyone is trying to stretch their fitment now a days while knowing little to nothing about the proper way to do it

I really like the Nitto Neo-Gen!!!! I went down 4 and they ride awesome and have a great treat pattern

I've owned 3 of the tires on this list without having any idea they were good for stretching. They were just on sale xD (595, ZE912, Ecsta 4XII)

This video was very informative. Best tire for stretching is Ironman gen 2

This is how to work out what you can stretch to: Multiply the width of the wheel by 25.4, this will give you the measurement in Milimeters of how wide the tyre should be. Then just take an inch/inch and a half off. For example: 9j's 9x25.4=228.6. lets call it 225 for standard. I'd stretch to 195's at the most.

A 195 on a 9j rim is way over manufactures figures and could well nulify any insurance. Beware,you have been warned.

I have a BMW M235i running 235`s on 19x 8j . I think Bmw R&D dept spend a lot more designing the hanling and performance of their cars than some independant enthusiast with a bit of knowledge,so I`ll stick with BM`s recommendations thanks.

I respect the advice u giving and knowledge as well

Planning on running a set of 595s in 195 50 15 on a set of 15 x 7s. I Know it's not much of a stretch but the video helped me out on making my decision on what to get.

Mounted 195 on 7 before, depending on the tire it doesnt stretch at all

165/45r15 Achilles Economist on 15x8 Took it like a beast!

Falken would be the best hands down. They're the only tire you can legally stretch in NZ and I think that says something.

Eh? I stretched the shit out of a set of Nankang's over some 18x9's on my Laurel wasn't an issue.

always had good experience stretching Hankook V12’s for very wide large diameter wheel setups. was running a 255/30 on an 11

Yeap i ran those on 235/40r18 on 18x10.5 wheels for 2 years and no problem whatsoever

i ran a 165 nankang on my 17x15 worked great

I looked up the federal595 for my 9.5 inch and it was actually the cheapest tires, definatly copped those

I've seen the Bosozoku guys fit a 195 on a 13x10... that was one crazy setup lol.

595 are awesome good grip they look great running them on 10.5 on 225

running the 595s. 205/50 on 15x10 for a year. no problems.

nitto NT05 tires have a great look when stretched for anyone wondering, but you cannot mega stretch them, i had 205's on i believe a 9 inch wheel.

Hankook Ventus V12 evo2's stretch well too

Not something like a 195/50 on a 10 or 12 is a bit to much. But something like a 225/45 on a 9 is fine in my eyes. The former is ALOT of stretch, to the point of undrivability, but the latter is fine. Its a bit of stretch but not to much, and I have been able to do track and drift days with that kind of set up.

You guys should do a 2019 version of this video. Sick!!!

I have a stretched down a size (225 to 215) and the rims' offset makes it look like a poke fitment but my rims is just about the fender, so it's kinda not? Stock suspension so I had to do the math. Looks good and classy IMO.

2:30 I stretched Pilot super sports and it worked out just fine. 225/40r18 on a 10.5j fronts and 235/35r18 on 11j rears

The SS595 hands down do the job, i was running Lexani's and man, they just gave up on me, Falken has been a good brand too but hands down for stretch, Federal is the one

I was surprised kumho ecsta made the list. I ran ecsta tires stretched 255/35R18 on 10.5 wide wheel and the sidewalls had huge bubbles in them after 2 months. Now I run falken azenis same size tire. The side wall is thicker so I rub a little now but zero problems and it’s a cheap long lasting summer performance tire. Only downside is handling around corners is compromised a little do to the stretch.

Fitment Industries 2012 bmw 335i full bolt ons on ESR wheels for now until I save up for wide body, air suspension and hre’s. Right now I’m static

I'm running Federal SS595 195/45 on 16x8 +20 and it's beautiful. Minimal stretch while maintaining good performance

I’m runnin 195/45/r15 toyo Proxes on my diamond Steelies

I have some Nitto NT555G2 225/40 on my 18x10.5 and the stretch looks good, no sidewall issues, no grip issues and they hold air fine. They went on pretty easy and I'll definitely be getting them again

Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2's are another good higher performance tire that stretches well, sidewall is a bit meaty but it holds a stretch well.

Philip Koscica can attest to this, ran a 255/35 on an 11 and it never gave me an issue. Was also extremely easy to stretch, thought I’d have to use a cheetah to mount it but it just aired right up. I run a 265/35 federal 595 now and the sidewall is way beefier than the hankook’s

Daim I wish this would of came out a month ago😩 I wanted to run a 255 35 on a 19x11 but didn’t know what brand to go with. Ended up going with with some Lexani tires just because I found them for 95 each but to much road noise. Will definitely get the Nexens when I go thrue these. Thanks FI appreciate the insight !!

Toyos are dangerous to stretch if they drop below 37 psi they tend to explode of the bead

Currently running a toyo t-1r 195/45/15 on a 10” widened basset steel rim. Its for my golf 3, rims have an offset of -12 and there are no way they will fit under the arches so i guess i will have to widebody it😁. Other details about my bild is: - bigger turbo (runs at about 32 pounds of boost atm) - adjusted the diesel pump - big front mount -EBC rotors, yellowstuff pads and brand new calipers - TA coilovers with homemade camberbrachets -and a couple other visual mods😛 I am currently 17 years old and i will hopefullt get my license in about a year, hope to see the car finnished by then it has been a real blast up intill now atleast😅

I have GENERAL GMAX they are a little wider than other tires the same size. keep that in mind if your fitment is razor sharp

Does it matter if the tire is xl? Extra load? Cuz this means a stiffer or stronger side wall...idk if that's good or bad for stretching

I have Delinte DH2’s 205/35 on 18x9.5 on my mb battles with 50psi and there awesome! Whole lotta stretch lol

akiyammio go to Stretchtires on Google they have most tires, rim sizes and what the stretch would look like on actual cars. Thats how I went with the 225s for my 10.5s

I'm running VERCELLI - STRADA II's 215/35 18's on 18x9.5 35+ esr sr 08's and they feel great!!! smooth ride, almost identical to how my original stock wheels felt on my frs, its amazing, I do drive careful though haha
