Thanks for covering my mod PlatformerSaves!! I've been a fan since the early days almost 10 years ago now, so it's kinda surreal seeing something I made in a video of yours. I know the mod is controversial but my goal with it is making the game more enjoyable for casual play until it gets added officially. I'm working on the android version at the moment so more people have access to it that way it's more fair. Keep up the great work as always!

It's a great idea - with the explosion in platformer levels it's a win-win for both players _and_ level designers, because it encourages completion of levels rather than being limited to the time you have to dedicate to each play session. 👍 Maybe a way to limit the 'controversy' would be to automatically mark/flag a level that has been completed across multiple sessions using saves... that way it's easy to differentiate if a player has completed a level the "traditional" GD way (ie. in a single run) versus a "segmented" completion using your mod.

One of my personal favorite mods is the “More Difficulties” mod, that basically gives a new difficulty face to 4*, 7*, and 9* levels. Because we have the same difficulty face for 4-5*, 6-7*, and 8-9* levels, this is a pretty cool mod to check out in my opinion!

I honestly think the platformer saves should be an option creators can turn on and off. Like if someone wants to make like a 4 hour rpg type level they can enable the saves but if it’s just a level like coaster mountain where it takes about as long as a a few rooms in Celeste then they can have it turned off

The problem with platformer save, it's a cheat with the attempts, it reset when you load.

I think if RobTop wanted to add saving progress in levels, (Which he is obviously) then he should make it so that you can choose if the level is allowed to save or not save. For example, the level How To Platformer is supposed to be very long but you cannot save your progress which defeats the purpose. Sure it won't make it easier but it would make it much calmer. So maybe in the editor once you turn on Platformer mode a checkbox will appear confirming if you want to save progress on a level, checking the box will activate it while unchecking it won't. That way it won't break any levels that are meant to take hours to beat.

You should make a video on the Super Expert Run mod! I'm down for it's a great idea! Same goes for the Roulette and the Nuzlocke!

My favorite is the GDDL Integration mod, which tells you what tier a demon is based on the GD Demon Ladder. Ranks every demon 1-35 based on difficulty, as voted by players. Very helpful so I don't have to look it up every time

I think platformer quit and saving isn't cheating because hypothetically you could do the same thing by leaving your device and game open at all times to continue from where you left off, this is just a more practical way of doing it

One mod I recommend is GDDL integrations, it tells you the difficulty of a demon more precisely, using 35 tiers. Tiers: 1-5 easy demon 6-10 medium demon 11-15 hard demon 16-20 insane demon 21-35 extreme demon

Checkpoint save is needed, yes thats gons be easier to beat lvls but there a way to amke it better, like if this get added rob can let people choose eneble checkpoint save or not so lvl gona be one session type. With saveble checkpoints people can make while games in gd, simulators tycoons and all that kind of stuff

no, robtop won’t accept it. the demon list has already allowed verifications using click between frames, which is exactly why the demonlist should just start placing unrated levels, because we shouldn’t let robtops bullshit get in the way
