i feel like your taste is the closest to mine out of all the booktubers i follow and it always makes me smile so much whenever our top fav books of the year end up overlapping in many places. i especially loved ocean vuong's books this year, he's just wonderful to read! also shout out to AFTG, forever and ever. i re-read the series last year for the 6th time and really, every time i come out of it with the realization that i do not care for the flaws or whatever opinion-shifts happen around this book, i for one will keep re-reading, loving and fixating on this series as long as i'm around. i don't care if there are flaws when in fact these books have such a strong emotional hold on me that really can't be compared to most titles i've encountered ever to this day. it's been almost a decade now since i first read it and it still lives on in my conscious and whenever i look at tumblr the community is still around and kicking, which proves that so many others are in the same shoes as me. i'll always appreciate others who have this same kind of love for this series and proudly voice it. it's undeniable that these books are laced with the kind of magic cast on readers that most all writers wish they could have too. hope you'll have a wonderful reading year in 2024 too!

There's a 4th All for the Game coming out this year with Jean as the mc. Can't wait! I re-read the series in 2023. The characters and their dynamics are so good. Who cares about the plot, I love it 😂

The way you talked about Swimming in the Dark makes me think you’d really appreciate Young Mungo by Douglas Stuart. A bit rougher around the edges but still a sweet story of first love between two boys, set in Scotland. It’s definitely stuck with me since I read it early last year so highly recommend!

Are you ready for The sunshine court (book set after The king's men, it will follow Jean, and it will be dual pov so i am assuming the other pov will hopefully be Jeremy)??? I am pretty sure it will come out this year!
