You know what, I used to buy it once and I accidentally broke my screen due to the screen and the keyboard are almost no spaces between them when you closed it, but thankfully I got my apple care, but more importantly, perhaps because I was pretending to be innocent at the time being (Of coz I wasn't meant to break it :( ) when I was at the apple store for consulting repairs, they offer me a whole replacement without paying a cent with even no deductions for the accidentally apple care limits (normally you only have two times for the replacement if your screen is broken). Thank god!

Great video! I've discovered a few cool things and will be ordering them soon. Just a note on the USB-C adapter - the one from Aukey is slimmer than the rest, so you can connect 2 Aukey USB-C adapters side by side. With the one you showed, which is exactly like my Nonda adapter, a second one will not fit side by side. The Aukey is very well built and comes in Space Gray as well.

i really enjoyed this review! i do have to say to anyone looking at the viper mini... i bought it off amazon about 2 months ago and returned it. the mouse itself was EXTREMELY GOOD! however, if you have large hands, it will feel uncomfortable. i ended up with the mamba eliete and my god! this mouse is crazy comfortable and amazing for gaming

I have the same case on my MBP. The top part of the case is actually a good fit. But it's not how it looks like from the 1st install. Just go ahead and try to push the edges on the laptop hinge side and it will pop in.

hey heads up if your using those keyboard covers overtime they melt some of their meterial on to the screen or leave imprints on the screen had this issue when we had macbooks for school it would just leave marks on the screens never used one since

I love the video man! I just had a concern though. I wanted to purchase a multi port dongle like the one you mentioned in the video but i personally want one with a hdmi port. I saw one on Amazon i believe it was anker brand but it mentioned it is not compatible with macboook cases. If i were to purchase the case you mentioned in this video, what dongle would you recommend me to purchase?

Excellent videos. Would like to see a vid of your production office. Types of cameras you are using, lighting, etc. Maybe also software you are using for video editing.

I like my MacBook cover similar to yours but frustrated that I can’t use the hub that is flush with the MacBook with out taking it off! 😡 I only have the top cover installed bc I use a hub like yours.

My wife has had one on her 2015 13 inch MacBook Pro for years and I haven’t had any issues.

Does the side dock with the two USB-C plugs work with the XPS 15? Is the spacing the same as the MacBook's ports?

Is there a dongle that has all those ports including an ethernet port and hdmi 4k 60hz? One that doesn't have a cable hanging out but the connectors like you got

Can you do one for the razer blade

I use a wired mouse for the same reason that you do. The USB 3 interference with 2.4 GHz signals is just terrible, and it is amazing this is still an issue a decade after it was first reported. It drove me to go to a wired mouse and to all 5 GHz WiFi connections. Everyone always asks why the included Apple USB-C charge cable only operates at USB 2.0 speeds...this is almost certainly the reason why. Even the best shielded USB cables today built to USB-IF specification still cause interference to some extent. It's certainly an annoyance and sadly one that won't be going away anytime soon. At one point before I as able to move away from 2.4 GHz with certain devices I was literally wrapping USB cables in aluminum foil...

Quick question about using hard cases on MacBooks, are they recommended officially by Apple? I mean I have had old MacBook airs that worn off the hinge because of the hard case. Has this happened to anyone? Maybe using a skin instead? 🤔.

I bought that case for $20 CAD which included screen protector and keyboard cover. (I don’t use the screen protector)

great content but about the webcam blocker , one of my friends also used to put similar type of a webcam blocker and that led to cracking his macbooks screen because apple tries to have least amt of gap possible between the keyboard and screen when the laptop is closed . not just my friend but when we read about it alot of people cracked their screens due to those webcam blockers

Just read a review on the camera cover. Someone with a Macbook 16 says their screen cracked after installing it. I'll pass on this suggested accessory even though I do have Apple Care.

I knew someone would have said this by now, but I checked just in case. The pictures posted of the damaged screens left no doubt that the camera covers were the culprits. The MacBook chassis is designed with little to no tolerance in the clearance between the keyboard and the display. Something as thin as a tiny sliding cover can put pressure on the screen while it’s closed and traveling. Apple has responded by warning customers that nothing thicker than a 0.1mm piece of paper should be used. So stick to your Post-It Notes, you actually had the answer all along!

What about the mouse? Is there a link for that please?

Dear Everyday Dad! I need some advice about choosing the right MacBook. I am using the 2012 or so iMac, and it sucks, due to the hard drive and 8gb RAM. I’m more of a multitasking guy, and need many programs running at once. I do not do any video editing yet, but I recently started to do something photography-related on my iPad Pro, and I thought I should change the main computer to pair them in the job. I use the external monitor, and whether I buy the 13 inch 1799 model or I pick the 16 inch model it will always be aside. Which one would you recommend? PS: I think the base model is awesome, but it lacks RAM storage, and I’m not sure if upgrading it solo would make it as good as the 1799$ model.

Hey boss, I work at apple and we are getting a lot of broken displays because of those camera covers. It’s gotten to the point when I’ll fill out a repair for a customers broken display, it asks if they have a cam cover.

Is hardcase good as there are some reviews that it can harm laptop by scratching it and even it can break screen while removing As apple do not suggest it as screen thickness is too low Logically it puts extra weight on hinge which can damage hinge

11:06 it looks like it's broken or very bad quality (the black plastic piece goes out of the whole thing)

I can definitely recommend the keyboard covers. They have saved my bacon more than once from accidental liquid spills (liquid latex, yuck, and a cup of paint water) and I wouldn't be without one.

If you are willing to spend $60-$70 for the sleeve I think the one mujjo makes is super-premium and well worth it. And looks soo much better

Ah yeah i have Windows on my 2 tb t7, and I recommend it to everyone. I tried t5 to and it’s good but I like to have school document and photos on t5.

I dont like the hardshell on the macbook because it makes the screen heavier when i close the lid. I also heared rumors about people covering their macbooks webcams damages the screen. Otherwise great video gary!

Le Tour du Monde en Canapé I think for a student, who doesn‘t need a any special software like xcode or final cut, iPads are a great choice because of the apple pencil. Or if you do nothing else than writing mails and surfing in the Internet

I rocked a 15' 2015 throughout most of my college years and I loved, the 16' is pretty much the same size. If you don't mind carrying a full size laptop, get it, totally worth it! If you prefer portability, get the 13' and maybe get a monitor with the money you are saving from the 16', I now own a 13' and the size and weight are just awesome! So much easier to carry around. It also really depends on what you will be using it for.

One tip is to leave a 1 inch or so amount of slack where the cable connects to the port of the adapter to reduce cable tension and wear

I have a MBP 16 (base model) and now I wish I can return it. It has very serious thermal issues. The computer would frequently freeze due to overheating, sometimes even right after it boots up with no apps running in the background. The CPU load would go up to 100% easily because of overheating, and the fans would run at full speed. Even browsing the web would be sluggish. In fact a lot of times it is even underperforming my 13" macbook pro. I did some research online and realized that this is actually a very common issue among all macbook pro 16 users. I know some people really love this macbook but I just want to tell people my experience so they know the risks before deciding to buy it. Don't base your entire buying decision on these KZread review videos. These videos are great but they mostly serve the purpose of entertainment. Instead do some thorough research on sites such as Apple's support forum and see what actual issues and frustrations other users are experiencing.

Also, apple recently released a statement about MacBooks not having a webcam plastic cover. It risks cracking your trackpad cause the device has tight tolerances.

Apple just told people not to put up the webcam protectors cause users have filed complaints of their MacBook screen breaking because they use those little things! People, yeah I know privacy, but oh that display is very costly to replace.

Ok. I’ll just say this. The MacBook is not meant to have a plastic case. It loosens the hinge over time. I’ve had that happen. 🤷🏾‍♂️
