And then Brian made them big?? I think your comment is quite stupid.. Malcolm Young was and will always be AC/DC. They were AC/DC long before Bon joined. Bon was not AC/DC, he was a hired gun.

Neither is Brian, although I do think it’s a disgrace That Angus, Malcolm and Brian all took the credit for You Shook Me All Night Long,, Bon Scott Wrote You Shook Me All Night Long!!!!! That was a Bon Song, it was written many many years before Brian joined the band and it was written years before back in Black was released. Angus, Malcolm and Brian stuck there names all over You Shook Me All Night Long....Even tho it’s A Bon Song! It’s True It wasn’t recorded until Bon Died, But Bon Had Wrote it many years before it was recorded.

It was 1981. I was in high school and had already been listening to ACDC for some time. Bon Scott had died in 1980. We were all sitting under a tree and Back in Black had just been released. I had never heard it. We put the tape in the boom box and I was blown away. I thought ACDC was dead. That tape framed my high school life. It was the best thing I think I had ever heard.

I loved it, but hated all the posers who didn't know the difference between Bon and Brian. They had never listened to Bon. So, when TNT would come on the radio, the morons thought it was Brian. Did anyone else go through this at school?

@@keelsmac01 I loved Bon as well. Followed the band all through middle and high school. Right now I am in the same age group as the band. Loved Bon then, love AC/DC now and believe with all my heart that God just wanted some rock in heaven.

Hey, I'm 69 years old and ACDC wasn't my era but ANGUS rocks like nobody else can! He's one of the best rock shows I've ever witnessed!

When I play ANY AC/DC music my neighbors love it so much they throw bricks through my window so they can hear it louder.:):):):)

I've played guitar for 35 of 50 years of living and its because of the Young brothers thank you ACDC for the best R&R music in the world.

These guys are great. They have a great sense of humour, they are down to earth and they are amonsgst rock's greaters ever! I salute you!!!

MY FAVORITE BAND!!!!!!! Scared my poor Mom in my early teens, got me sent to a Shrink {well them and Ozzy}It was 1980~we had just lost Bon~rip~and yes The Band and myself Survived!!! I can NEVER get enough of ACDC~ forever a FAN.

I'll never miss them when they're gone because l will never stop listening to their music. Rock on.

Bon was a force that was such an integral part of AC/DC and will always be a signature voice of those beginning songs and Brian Johnson was a blessing almost divine addition to keep the band going as that Powerhouse sound, but the guitars...What can I say about Angus and Malcolm? Bon and Malcolm are smiling down on their bandmates/brothers. I had read that Malcolm said he wanted the music to continue and that makes my heart full. Angus? God bless Angus! He is perpetual motion and still blows me away!!!!! The first band that ever grabbed me and never let go! AC/DC forever! They will go down in history as the greatest Rock n Roll band ever!!!!!!!!!! I seen the original AC/DC one time in Perth WA ,they shook the foundations of the whole showground,but most of all I like the way Angus takes the shit out of his teacher when he didn't believe him about his dream so he wears the uniform to take the piss,rock on to a hard working band.

I was at that concert. It was my first ever. I'm so glad I got to see them. Amazing concert.

Someone said that AC/DC isn't crowd friendly. I saw them for the ballbreaker tour and Angus jumped on the ball swinging over the stage and the audience and played the guitar while the ball was swinging. How much more crowd friendly do you want!

i lost my hearing at an AC/DC concert in Dublin back in the 70's. i couldn't hear anything for a week and it never really came back. but i remember it to this day with fond memories. i can't really say it was worth it. but it is a close run thing.

I spent my first & last night ever in a drunk tank . . after the ACDC concert in Darwin NT Oz , after stupidly drinking tequila supplied by 'associates' . . who then went through my pockets , was woken by the cops outside the venue & when my taxi fare etc had vanished from my wallet etc . . spent the night in a drunk tank , I later did a walk in beating of the thief inside his house in front of his family

Do you get offended when people say your music is simple? Life is very difficult and for most people simple is wonderful because you get to kick back and enjoy yourself. If you know the lyrics and you enjoy the beat then all you need to do is sing along and feel the rush. This doesn’t mean those same fans can’t do something different the following week that is more unpredictable. AC DC is keeping our youth alive. Good on ya mates.

I love this band. As I adolescent, I defended them at home. My parents thought they were devil worshipers and they destroyed all my cassettes I had (cd's weren't available then).

you know something everyone bitches but the only band that rocks is acdc. get a grip!

the music isn't really that simple. If you figure the formula out it is. It isn't basic 3 chord rock. You can play it that way and get by but there are many variables to the rhythm guitar. Malcom is probably the best rhythm rock guitarist ever.

Your right they keep it simple but can you come up with those riffs? I cant ! Easy to copy but try to wtite something so simple that sounds so good.

I agree. Most of there songs are just 3 chords with the fourth one thrown in for a bridge or whatever, but Malcom had a style, just little things he used to do that made it sound different. For eg playing a B chord (no 3rd) he used to just hammer on from A very quickly to the B root and play the rest of the chord, this sort of thing gave him his sound. I also found a very interesting video of two guys paying respect to Cliff WIlliams. Because Malcom didnt play alot of the 3rd notes in the scale of his chords, sometimes the bass player would, again making that sound slightly unique. Much respect to 4 blokes that gelled togther so finely, whether it be Bon or Brian. Forever in my hearts these fuckers are.

I always thought for a hard rock band AC/DC had a very warm melodic sound - it was loud but still full and rich not scratchy or fuzzy. The bass player out of one of my bands met Brian Johnson in a recording studio I think it was his studio. He said that he was a very down to earth local kind of guy - this was in the North East of England.

There is an interview with Angus and Brian from Donington 1984 when Van Halen were also on the bill. Interviewer asked how they felt about the fact that Van Halen had said ACDC have made 10 albums that all sound the same, Angus quick as a flash said that's complete rubbish...........weve made 11 albums! Brilliant!

@struck1978 Dave wanted AC/DC to be a glam band, Dave dressed like Freddy Mercury. Getting Bon, to take his place was a great idea. If they had kept Dave i dont think AC/DC would have made it past the 1970s before they were forgotten. Bon was great, and Brian is great, but Dave was just wrong for AC/DC.
