Amen! If I ever have kids? No matter if they are boys or girls they will definitely know who AC/DC were. I’m a 23-year-old woman, from South Carolina and I grew up listening to this stuff,I was 10 years old when black ice came out. I was a baby when stiff upper lip came out. I know more about the bands history than most people my age know about world history. I’ve heard every album dating all the way back to the Bon Scott era. I have everything that has their name on it. Of course my dad was a roadie for them for a while. So he had to step out when child number six (me) came along.

@@TinyTV_DK You gave him room to expand and he was so open and genuine. The fans don’t usually get behind stock answers and PR gurus, so this was really refreshing to hear Angus talk, just a normal bloke...like the rest of us. I did wince a bit when you said right at the top of the piece that you were born in ‘80...the year that Back In Black came out after Bon’s untimely passing. I was 17yo at the time and already a rabid rock music fan, having seen UFO, Scorpions, Judas Priest, Rush and AC/DC (supported by a little known band from Sheffield, England called Def Leppard), mostly at Leicester’s De Montfort Hall in ‘79. 9th November 1979 I witnessed a band so tight, so loud, so together, so biblically brilliant with the thunderous rhythm section of Mal, Phil and Cliff laying down the groove while Angus duck-walked around the stage, sweat-soaked and manic, ripping the riffs and lead breaks off his wrist and Bon, bare-chested and leering, one foot planted on his monitor and the mic cord wrapped in his fist like a lasso, holding the crowd in his hand. I thought it was over when just four months later Bon tragically died. But then...Jonno and ‘BIB’ emerged. My school mates and I all had the album on release day and we congregated in one bedroom or another for months afterwards, throwing ourselves around the room, ripping those riffs on tennis racquets or imaginary SGs and hollering the lyrics. Brilliant. Camaraderie right there. 20th October 1980, the Back In Black world tour rolled into Leicester, the first of two nights in the city. We were there, down at the front, nervous and excited in equal measure... And then the house lights went down... Boom! Power Up takes me right back to those times. It is a fantastic collection, probably the strongest album since the toll of the bell followed the crackle of the needle in the groove. The boys have done Mal and Bon proud here.

This interview proves that over all these years AC⚡DC was always about the music and family. Unlike 95% of bands more worried about radio friendly hits and how much make up to put on. I respect Angus more than any other rock star bc he didn't let the ton of fame and $ he's earned define him instead he chose to be defined by his work ethic and dedication. That alone will precede this great guitarist and even greater man forever.

Brilliant interview! Many many years ago, I lived in a Sydney harbourside suburb called East Balmain where a old building we called "Cockroach Manor" was being renovated by unknown persons. So, my best mate and I are playing pool at the local pub. It was a Tuesday night I think? Very quiet anyways. This pub also had an awesome chinese restaurant. These 2 guys walk out and 1 puts a 20c piece on the table to reserve next game. Except, one says "hey, mate, you wanna play doubles?" I say "Yep, sure, but, I know you 2 from somewhere?" I'd hate a few joints by then... "Me name is Malcolm and dis is me bruvva Angus...we play in a band called AC/DC you may have heard of?" with a shit eating grin. They had bought the manor! We walked home at about 12 midnight singing "Its a long way to shop if you wanna sausage roll." True story!

@@robbieh1899 Robbie that's fantastic, I've been to The Rocks area a few times when across in Oz. I was at a Mama's Boys (check them out) gig at The Milford Inn, Co Donegal, Ireland many many years ago. I was there early with my mate and the band had all set up. We were playing pool when John McManus (bass & vocals) came over and put some money down to play the winner. I looked up "hello John", I looked around and Pat (guitar supremo & violin + Ozzy and Coverdale tried to recruit him) was standing there "hello Pat, do you lads want to play doubles?" "Yeah sure". IWe shared a few round of drinks in and had great craic for over an hour. Funny thing is, the place really filled up but nobody twigged who they were as we were all about the same age except for wee Tommy. Lovely guys and a great band. I think band members like breaking the monotany spending time with some non-sycophantic fans. Tommy McManus (drums) RIP. I must go and see Pat the next time he's in Scotland, great musician.

There is no show on earth to compare with AC*DC. But the most important thing is what comes through the speakers. These guys are so successful because they knew this, they had fun, and no band ever worked harder. Stirs up a lot of memories and emotions to realize how I have been touched by this powerful almost forbidden sound. Find a AC*DC album and " go stick this in your fusebox".

I met Angus very early on working in a theatre in Wheeling WV. I also worked a couple of their shows later on in other cities. I recall a production manager named Jake and he was a great guy. I am from Mississippi , and I am a huge AC/DC fan , I love the fact that angus has never got caught up in the rock and roll bs that destroys bands, the biggest part of that is because he lives in Australia and just comes to the US and kicks ass and goes back home ! He seems like a humble guy that should have a huge ego but he doesn’t. Nobody plays like him , and to me he his a top five guitarist ever , and me personally he is # 1. I took my son to a show in 2016 in Dallas and I told him afterwards, now you have seen a true rock and roll band .
