This one looks good I like the layout

I see people asking about different switches, I found Kailh has their new “source series” switches with one being South Pole facing and the other being North Pole facing, both seem to have same build as the current cream yellows or Sakura pinks advertised with the Akko board, but I believe only the South Pole facing ones would be applicable on the Mod007B PC, would love to see more on these switches but can’t find much online outside of Kailhs information/ website to purchase. any thoughts? Could use another opinion on this

They might sell them through vendors but I dont know when. All I know is you cant even buy Akko Magnetic Switches Yet. Not exactly sure why that is. Perhaps the supply might just be low.

@@khensationalReviews yea Akko has a “limited quantity” available on their site because the two new switches r so new but they were purchasable wondering about them as a switch option for sure

i have a new question, Is it possible to replace the switches with others, for example gateron jade, they are also magnetic. I mean without buying new pcba

No you can't. I actually did have a spare Gateron Jades, while it fits. The key itself does not work. It has something with how the polarity is setup.

Hello, I want to buy the Akko-Mechanical Keyboard MOD007 07 Anniversary Edition, but in some videos I see that the minimum performance is 0.2, and in others it is 0.1, do you know if it was due to a firmware update or something like that?

It might be a different firmware. I haven't plugged mine in for a while. Also I think you should just get the Year of the Dragon for wired or the Monsgeek M1W HE if you need wireless and 8K.

Great video man! Does the keyboard have an extra usb c port to attach a macropad?

Your sound test is a little bit off. After switching to the copper plate, my kb sound much better than the FR4 plate. I notice when you tested FR4, you tested it on a mat/mousepad, when you tested copper plate, you did it on your bare table. I have tested on plywood, on the mat, on the foam from the box. The foam from the box absorbs almost the impact between the case and table, and make it sound much much better(even better than the desk mat)

Im downloading akko cloud driver but its on kb/s, idk why. I got 266 download and 319 upload mbps based on the chrome speed test. Is there a fix? Or need to wait for 2hrs. Lol thanks

you can give it a try. It shouldnt affect the magnets.

Akko makes some really killer designs, though I think there was a huge missed opportunity to talk about the HE switches used, and whether the board has analogue features, or if it's just rapid trigger. Also, I'm not familiar with what roar mode is or does? The description on the akko site does not explain it, and I feel like it could've been an excellent point of this video. Like... does it just boost the input priority of the keys? Boost the polling rate of the keys? At 8khz, I feel like you'd be hard pressed to feel the effect of a polling rate higher than 8khz. Also as someone owns a anniversary mod007 partial to lighter switches, currently rocking 40g, akko does not have any lighter HE switches, with it being 60g (50 +-10), and is not compatible with wooting's lekker switches. This has led me to bench my mod007 in favour of even a non-HE keyboard. A point I feel is important to point out for people looking at buying this board.

Thank you for your input. I'll keep this in mind. I try to make my reviews as short as possible and just cover the things people needs to know but It might be time to script my reviews from now on to make sure I don't miss anything instead of just going off the top. To answer some of your question. Roar Mode basically just turns off RGB and prioritize the scanning. Its their take on Wooting's Tachyon Mode but only on 4 keys. It just ensures your 4 keys set to roar mode has the absolute best performance (WASD). 8000hz imo like I said is mostly marketing. High polling rate on a keyboard is not the same as a high polling rate mouse and the difference in game would be negligible. Regarding the switches I did asked them to make a lighter version in the past. Perhaps a 45g is in the works right now. Also Akko is using their own proprietary PCB and Switch as opposed to gtech/raesha boards that supports gateron and raesha. It does have a pros and cons and to me as long as it works nicely I have 0 complaints about it. Akko's concept might be to just create an excellent board out of the box without having to do mods to it.

Actually I asked to AKKO about the Roar mode. And they answered like this. The average polling rate of all keys on the keyboard is 8k, but these 4 keys in roar mode are guaranteed to be 8k "for sure". Also they don't have any plan to to increase the number of Roar mode keys at this moment. But even considering this and the minor bugs, I think this keyboard is worth buying. :)

Yes I think you only need true 8K on WASD but itd be nice if they added more keys. I also received an e-mail earlier from Akko. They sent me a FW update for the roar mode so I can't wait to try that out.

Hello sorry for the late reply. I tested about 5 firmwares so far and none of them are better. Theyre currently contacting their engineers about it.

Yes this is happening to me too. I already asked Akko about a FW update to resolve this. Akko didnt really say anything about it but it might be normal. Ima ask them again. They just gave me a new updated software for the roar mode.

You only have the Akko Cream Yellow Magnetic at the moment. Gateron and Raesha Magnetic switches would not work with the board.

How did you get it, I can only pre order

Im actually testing the 3061S HE rn. Review should be out this weekend. I do like the keyboard but theres something you should know about. Its about the Roar Mode. If you enable it only 4 set keys takes priority over everything else meaning the 4 keys under roar mode might be running at 8K and higher scan rate and the rest of the keys drops to 125hz so if you play Apex you wont be able to do Superglides but for CS2, Valorant and etc. it's perfectly fine. The overall keyboard is fine. A bit on the cheaper side but works well.

Im uploading my Wooting 60HE review later. After trying it I am now considering getting the 80HE but im not sure if its customizable and if I would like the 80% Layout. Akko does makes good designs and I really like the 75% layout.
