I ordered a Seiko SNK803K2 and now this Cadisen. These will be my first mechanical watches that I ever bought. The Seiko I plan for casual wearing and the Cadisen for when I'm more dressed up. Hope they will serve me well!

That accuracy report just goes to show you don't need a Rolex to get an accurate running watch. Great video and review... Oh, and nice watch.

I purchased this a few weeks back when you featured it in your 10 watches for $50 video. Absolutely love it! I have 6.25" wrists and it fits just about perfect. I put it on a brown colareb strap and am delighted with how it looks. Tons of compliments already at the office. People think it's much more expensive looking than it actually is. I like the day/date for practicality reasons since this will be my new daily wear until I'm done with residency and can purchase a more expensive watch like a grand seiko or Rolex. Jody, you're draining my bank account fiddy bucks at a time. I really like the Cadisen watches, this will be my third. They are already sold out of the white ones but I just pushed the button for the black dial one. I'll swap the bracelet for a textured black leather strap and wear it with pride.

Just got mine in today (the third watch I've bought because of your reviews.) The bracelet may not be great quality, and it may be blingy AF, but I'm surprised how comfortable it feels, and I almost hate to take it off because it feels so nice. Thanks for the tip (again) Jody.

Thanks a lot for these chinese specials. I already purchased the Cadisen Conquest and the Tevise T801a and I’m very satisfied with them. This Cadisen will be the next one for sure.

Bought one on sale and later watched your videos, feeling a lot better now , wasn't expecting a sapphire but having one makes it even better. It's going to be my 2nd mechanical watch after tevise, tevise gave me a glimpse of what mechanical watches are but quality wasn't something that will last for ever, this one seems a lot better. Brand name on watch will not get the crowd but I will know that inside is a seiko movement that is so darn accurate, will definitely inspire me in long run, your review was excellent, thank you.

Hello. Jodie! Next time you praise this watch you need to mention how easy it is to brush out that bracelet. Green scotch pry pad 1 minute of rubbing it in one direction along the bracelet aaaaand it's done. I even done the lugs to match. Effect is stunning. Making it much much more wearable. Check that out.

Your channel is fast becoming my favorite thing to watch at the end of day.

I can't think of that Perlon as anything but band-aid colored ever since you said it. Now if only this Cadisen had a decorated movement and a blue dial option, it would really be the whole package. So close to perfection at a reasonable price. Quite a nice find either way.

Excellent review, Jody. One issue I have as a watch collector is to limit the size of my collection, which currently includes sixteen watches. Why limit it? Because I cannot cycle through my collection and fully enjoy all the watches if it gets too large. I typically spend about $400+ (sometimes thousands) on a new watch. For me to make that level of investment, the watch needs to be outstanding and complement those already in my collection. For example, I already have six dress watches (including Rolex, Tag, Seiko, Tissot) and don't need another. Therefore, the Cadisen C1032 would be redundant, even though it represents high value. My next watch is likely to be a chronograph since I only have two chronographs. I rarely sell a watch. I take my time and only buy watches I love. Thus, there is little churn in my collection. I keep all my watches in working condition and serviced as necessary, which allows me to pick any watch from my collection to suit the day's activity. Still, I enjoy seeing the bargains you feature from GearBest and I was actually motivated to buy the Phoibos PY007 based on one of your video recommendations. Keep up the great content.

Ordered mine at Aliexpress immediately after watching your review. Received the watch after 6 days. The watch is bombs! The stainless steel strap with high polish makes it looks cheap hence Immediately replaced it with leather. Timekeeping is more bombs! Running at +5-10 spd. While my Orient Mako 2 runs at a disappointing +15-30 spd!?

Just one more Phoibos step aside - Just one more Cadisen has officially arrived. It is crazy that they can make this watch with the NH36, SS & Sapphire for $55. It makes wonder if I am lying to myself when I buy a watch with similar specs for $500? Thanks for another great video Jody...I love the shades at the beginning :)

I just got mine in for the steal at $35 and I gotta say that I love it so far. The silver just pops and the roman numeral gives it a distinctive character that a lot of other clean and dressy watches miss (especially fashion watches). The bracelet with solid links has a bit of play in it but not a whole lot. The click of the clasp is secure but sometimes difficult to manage without pressing hard into your wrist. Other than these little problems I figured out why it comes in at such a steal of a deal - QC is pretty rough. Mine has a splotch of something above the 3 o'clock that looks like dried water or something and a slight haze around the edge of the dial between 9 and 12 o'clock. I'll pull the movement out and try to clean the dial off. If that works out then I'm even happier with the purchase.

5 month with this watch: My accuracy falls within 2 to 3/ seconds per day checked by My Casio Which is +1 to 2/ seconds per month... Very much enjoy the watch and it fulfils the role of ‘occasionally worn Dress watch’ Perfectly… It looks far more expensive than it was in an under $60… Great movement… Beautiful dial with applied Indices. I quickly removed it from the bracelet for two reasons… First is the all high polished surface I think Cheapens the classy look of the actual watch… And secondly It has a butterfly clasp...so no micro adjustments Or ability to size the watch perfectly… Maybe it’s just me but I always find myself unable to get that ‘just right’ fit With many butterfly clasp Bracelets. I have several quick release, slightly padded, smooth, dress watch bands… Brown or black… Doesn’t matter… Looks great on both!

Great watch, I received the same before your review. There was a small garbage particle inside, so I opened the caseback, but suddenly the particle moved to the front. I opened the front glass very easy with small hit using a flat small screwdriver and a hammer, then removed the particle. It was extremely hard to click the back case back onto the watch. It was extremely tight. I had to use 2 tricks - filing it a little and then using another watch caseback sitting onto this watch, then I pressed it hard with kitchen cutting wood board towards the table, using my whole bodywheight of 93kg and it finally popped in ;) Before that I tried with cloth and pliers and broke the back glass, so I had to cut one from plastic SD card holder :) I don't know where to buy back glass, but i'll leave it like this. Watch is nice though.

Much to my chagrin, they had already sold out of this with the Natural White/ silver dial... this discount is good though 2018, so I’ll check back and won’t not go into panic mode just yet 👍

Perfect dimensions, dial, and case shape. If it wasn’t so polished I’d gladly pay double for it.

I'm normally not a fan of these Chinese brand watches at this price point or of high polish watches (anything high polish in general), but this watch...ya kow it isn't bad! It's pretty elegant looking actually! I would swap out the bracelet though like you did and put on a deep brown strap or black for that matter, just to limit the high polish look. But a seriously nice looking watch. I would say it looks as nice some nice dress Seiko's at a fraction of their cost.

From the looks and without having my hands on it, I think I prefer my Guanqin 16034 mostly due to the markers and the faceted bezel.

The black one doesn't have the sunburst effect. Its my first black dial watch and I prefer my Guanqin with grey dial. I think that this watch looks better with a grey dial. It's not a screw down case back but a "resistive" ? I mean there is no thread to screw the case back.

Wow. I'm really impressed. Nice quality and movement is great for this price. I love, how it looks with leather strap. But the case style is not really I like. I would prefer Nakzen with roman numbers over it. Is that a glue on rotor? Does it customized by manufacturer before?

Bought one from Gearbest last night for the amazing sum of 36.50 USD lol, we`ll see in few weeks when it arrives.Style is just great, reminds me of the old Orients and Seikos :) And yes Jody, you`re not using that tester properly, you need to calibrate it first on a known sapphire piece, make sure it has at least few green bars in your ambient temperature, this thing actually measures thermal conductivity.

Hi Jody ! Thanks for the review. I finally received my Guanqin, like the one you reviewed a while ago. It is indeed good looking, but I am a bit disappointed, I think I won't keep the butterfly strap on it. So i keep wearing my automatic vintage Binger. It features the same Seiko movement, and it has this beautiful retro look, love it ! The domed hardlex glass make it look thinner than it is, and the dial may look a bit sad and grey at first sight, but under the sunshine, it's really nice. I'm sure you should give it a try ;) And BTW, I bet this Red Bull shirt is for Ricciardo, am I right ? :D

That's actually a really nice looking watch. I only wear a dress watch maybe 5 or 6 times a year so this would be perfect for me. I don't really care for day it date windows on a dress watch but, for 55 bucks, I can live with it.

This is a great looking bang for buck watch! I would probably get one if I didn't already have over 50 watches already. I am only wanting a couple of watches now,and they are high end. Until I have enough to get one of my grail watches, there is no one more watch for me. Lol

Crown up overnight, mine settled down to +2 seconds per 36 hours. Black dial version looks good on brown crocodile. Glad I bought it.

True Scotsman - it’s ok - my family originated from Kelso. Economical with a penny, economical with words. Wish you’d come across and do a few Mustang reviews.

I think you should consider doing a review of the Cadisen C8176G submariner.

I think the REAL question is not how do they do it for $55, but why do we pay more for some other manufacturers products at this level who kid us that their products are really worth the extra money they charge..... IMHO this would look better with no day date window and some brushing......

@@armandr1613 Rolex produce over 1.000.000 pieces, one million products you can produce only with automation. This is almost so much pieces like mazda produces cars. You can bet, that there is minimum manual labor. Handmade are watches which are produced perhaps in 100-500 pieces per year. . I ordered one today (Oct. 18) based on this review. I had put in the code a while back though I didn't put in any code today. For whatever reason I got it shipped to the US for $36. There was a $15 promotion. Again, not sure where it came from, but worth it for people to check it out today if interested.

@David Zeren Thanks for the information. I just ordered the silver dial version for 31 EUR. For some reason you can't see the final discounted price before the item is added to the cart. I already have the black dial version which I like very much. I was very tempted to buy the silver dial version after seeing this video but I was able to resist until I saw your comment and the even more discounted price.

Likewise I just picked up the black dial model for 52$ CAD with the 15$ CAD promotion...=39$ USD which is unreal if all things check out (sapphire, nh36)!!

Isn't it the same as the Guanqin 8200 in the end? That gives a good view behind the curtain of how the Chinese manufacturing works...

So basically, if you need two dress watches, you are on tight budget but still want automatic timepices with good quality and an OUTSTANDIG value: Get a "Cadisen C1032" and a "GUANQIN GJ16034", one with a silver-dail, one as a black-dail and you are set! If i would only get one chinese special dress watch, i would still go with the "GUANQIN GJ16034" though. Reason: On the Guanqin i like the hands a little bit better, i like the minute track on the dail and think the 12 sided bezel gives it a more unique look. But since they are so cheap one really doesnt have a reason not to go for both. (My pick: The Guanquin in silver. The Cadisen in black.) For this particular Cadsien: I like it. Very clean design, i dont mind the posihed surfaces at all and the framed date window looks great. Not a fan of the roman numeral at the twelve (likewise with the Guanqin). An mentioned above, I´d get it as the black dail version because the contrast makes the shiny, not lumed, hands and indices pop even more.

oOJayWeeOo just like you I picked up the guanqin gj16034 with the silver dial and this cadisen with the black dial. Current promo discounts on GearBest are bringing the all-in price for sub 40$ usd (yay). I got the guanqin yesterday but it came with a Miyota 8205 movement and not the seiko nh36

Any tips on how to get the blue paint off the crown on this watch,I've tried a toothpick and sellotape but no good would it be safe to use nail polish remover?

Averaging two seconds to the plus daily…Amazing watch for the price... I took that silly polish bracelet off and put it on a very nice Italian leather dress watch strap… It’s now my go to dress watch… Understated, reliable, And attracted to look at.I have a large collection(50+) and I have to go all the way up in price to my Seiko SARB Before I find something that I like more...And that cost $400+ So more than 8 times as much...

Jody, have you tried that $15 hardness tester on a sapphire "coated" crystal to see what kind of reading you get. Nice Cape Cod commercial you snuck in there LOL. yhou ought to show us the watches that don't pass muster just so we don't inadvertently go out and buy it, I thought you were watching out for us HA. Another great vid in the bag.

Can you say something about that movement inside? Is there any rotor wobble? I hate Seiko for that.

Just bought one of these on Flash Sale for $AU55. No Oz GST on GB? Also accepted PayPal, unlike AliExpress. Only the press-fit rear of case seems disappointing - if I have to regulate it, it's going to be a pain to get it off and press it back on again. Thank you Jody!
