Great video, thanks for the in depth review and digging deeper into specs. I'm a gamer but also a photo and video editor. I'm getting ready to upgrade my computer and looking for the highest quality 4k image available in a 27" monitor, preferably OLED. Any ideas on what you would recommend with today's current monitors? My budget is between $800 to $1,500. Thanks

I'm glad I'm not alone in my KVM thingie being broken. It's impossible to update the firmware for this monitor because the latest firmware has to be installed and updated through their app, and you have to use the KVM thing. It's so stupid.

I had two pieces of this monitor and two of them don't search signal from DP 1.4. I have DP 1.4 but must choose 1.2 in monitor settings to see screen.

so i have a 144hz monitor 1.4 hdmi and displayport that i normaly use for pc, is it running 120hz (120fps) on ps5 or do i need a hdmi 2.0 monitor?

I have the lg950. And i use it for story games and warzone. I can 100% recommend it. Vrr works and the colors are insane

With LG 27GP95 on ps5 VRR is settled as automatic but I can not activate ALLM. Does anyone can explain ?

I have a question regarding VRR. These new 120hz modes with VRR on PlayStation 5. Does that require a 120hz screen or can it also work on a 144hz monitor with hdmi 2.1?

Most, if not all, 144Hz monitors should allow you to do 120Hz 👍

@@justlive7147 The LG + PS5 will run at a max of 120fps. That cap is set by the developers of the games. LG + Gaming PC would be a different story though.

Do you notice bloom around certain things (like lights) in in dark videos/games etc? Or a a bloom trail following the cursor etc. on a black screen? I heard this has terrible bloom lol

The blooming is a symptom of the full-array local dimming. The monitor has 96 zones of FALD which makes it a little less annoying than other monitors but still noticeable. Debating on picking up an OLED to avoid the bloom.

If I didn’t already have an oled tv for my ps5, I would really consider this on a sale

If you're looking for HDR gaming then the M9 is the way to go. But if you just want 4k 120 then go with the LG. If price isn't an issue then the InZone would be my choice.

Never use 4K got competitive fps gaming unless you got like a 3080, and even then you’d get a massive increase in frame rate going down to 1440p. 4k is mostly for 4K streaming/story games, which is what most people play on the ps5 anyway

Stick with 4k @120hz. My ps5 won't even let me switch to 1440 with the gp950

I compared it to the Gigabyte M32U and for the price difference I had a hard time justifying the Sony Inzone M9. It also constantly would cut image on my series X even with trouble shooting multiple solutions. Overall I did prefer the image and smoothness on the Sony but it just felt cheap and complete versus the M32U. I've ordered a Eve Spectrum 4K glossy for my final comparison (whenever that arrives)

Whats the estimate they gave you for the Glossy spectrum? Its probably the best looking 27” on the market, but someone I know waited 9 months. Ridiculous if thats the case

Sony if you value decent HDR gaming in a monitor. LG if HDR isn't a high priority.

Hello How does the LG27GP950 perform if I choose 1440p as my resolution on PS5? I want a monitor on which I can both play games on 4k 60fps and 1440p 120fps but I am not sure how 4k monitors work on 1440p.

This monitor is awesome BUT... A LOT OF THEM ARE MADE WITH BAD PARTS. I bought one 2 weeks ago and the monitor died on me already. Fortunately Best Buy let me return it but I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND. By the way nice video 😅

haha thanks for the compliment. I checked around and it seems like there are A LOT of QC complaints for the M9. Debating on returning mine as well since I don't do much HDR gaming on my monitor and the 27GP950 fits most of my needs.
