I love busting myths about wool! and in my real life i don't know anyone willing to talk in depth about textiles like this. If you feel the urge to do a video like this on silk please feel free
I really learned a lot from this video. I’ve always loved suits made of wool because of it’s different properties, as you’ve explained. It’s also dries quickly if you’ve been caught in a light rain. Thank you.
I guess that you could say that I am the opposite of a "Gent". I cut fire wood in the Grand Mesa National forest in western Colorado. Wool is really important to me as it will breathe when I'm working up a sweat and keep me warm at the same time. I get most of my wool gear from second hand stores. I like to sew, and I am experimenting with repurposing used men's wool suits into garments that will stand up to chainsaw and axe work. I am toying with the idea of buying new wool fabric and sewing up some purpose made wool logging clothes. as (Filson wool coats are around $500.00) Thanks for your channel!
I like the one which you are wearing in this video....good choice!
Nice explained. So you don't actually recommend 230g around fabric ?
Thank you , very well explained👍
Excellent content!! TFS
Great content! I have a question. I Recently bought an OTR Joseph Abboud USA made, Italian wool and Bemberg. It’s ok for what it is however the arm holes are too big, lifting the coat as I raise my arm. My question is, can the arm holes be shrunk ? I was gifted a Brioni blazer, much smaller arm holes and I can move much more freely in it.
Interesting video, thanks for the information was very helpful, im about to buy a custom made suit for a hot weather, and i was thinking what wool would be better, Loro Piana merino wool or S150 Pure wool? Thanks for helping
ANECTDOTE: My apartment got attacked by mildew or whatever in Vietnam, and my cotton jackets grew fuzz on them but my wool did not. My grey cotton shirt got permanently stained even! my wool sweaters also did not.
Hey man, is that fox tweed Prince of Wales cloth that you’re wearing?
How good is a blend of wool and cashmere? or 92% wool? Would you suggest them for everyday sport jacket?
Where should we look to source quality wool cloth from?

@Phil Downawell do you ultimately save money by making your own clothes? Or is it more about getting your clothes just the way you want it? I assume you can use more expensive/nicer material, while saving the cost of labor/branding.
👏👏👍👍
you are so gorgeous
