The bells of Holy Trinity, Drewsteignton, Devon

The bells of Drewsteignton are a fine old fashioned, characterful and challenging ring of six. The bells are a complete Pennington set cast in 1748, which I believed were tuned by Taylors when the bells were re-hung in 1970 by Arthur Fidler. The 5th is hoisted about the others.
As far as Pennington bells go, these are up there with the best complete set cast by them and are very similar in weight and diameter to the six at Shaugh Prior, albeit the Tenor at Shaugh was re-cast by Warner.
They are a big six for their weight with the Tenor sounding to the key of E and weighing 13-3-7.
This recording was taken at The John Scott Memorial trophy contest on Saturday 30th July.
