The bells of the University Church of St Mary the Great are being rung to Cambridge Surprise Maximus on 20 May 2018 by the band of ringers from Birmingham who won the National 12 Bell Striking Contest on these bells on 23 May 2018. The bells are by John Taylor & Co, cast in 2009. The tenor is 24cwt 1qtr 1lb in D.

Beautiful to listen.. Still love the Pudsey and little bob the Birmingham band rung at St Nicks Liverpool. Oh to ring to this standard.

I k ow your a Devon call change ringer, Iwas just thinking this band has the striking that Devon call change ringers excel at but with open leads.

Lovely The 11th is a little close to the 10th at handstroke, in the opening rounds It is so easy being an armchair critic - forgive me !
