@Raymond Sims breaking bad just doesn't hold a candle to the sopranos. You can't rewatch it and find something new. The Sopranos is layered and explores very complex themes about the human condition. Breaking Bad is simply about a man who wants to prove his manhood to his family and regain some form of dignity but creates an alter-ego in Eisenberg. It doesn't go further than that. The sopranos is about Tony trying to find his way out of that darkness in order to keep his family. But as the show continues, he falls further and further into that darkness, and in the meantime, we are wondering along with Tony why. The show never gives you a way out. It just puts you in there and you have to find your own way out of it. There's just no comparison. The Sopranos is so much better.

@migol1984

@Bleach sure. It's deeper than that. But that's the gist. It's what John Truby calls the designing principle. Every story has a designing principle. And what I am saying is that The Sopranos indulges in this regard. It's such a lush story that it's incomparable to even suggest Breaking Bad is in the same level of storytelling. In areas where Breaking Bad excels is in the beats. I've watched both of these series twice, and from my second viewing of Breaking Bad, I remember how well it engages the viewer in every plot twist. This is its bread and butter and where most people rely to argue that it is a better show. Most people hardly ever delve into its subtext and internal story because Breaking Bad didn't have some sort of ax to grind, at least not the way Sopranos did. Funny enough, it was my second viewing of the sopranos that inspired me to watch Breaking Bad again.

Another Great Thing about the Sopranos is that all songs coming up in the show are perfectly matched to the scene they´re played in. And i just now realised after repeating the Series for a 8th time. That in the end Song he sings : "If a show never ends it goes on and on and on ..." and as a matter of fact The Sopranos still touches a lot of people and enterains them since its early release over more than 20 years ago. Thats just stunning. Even though i repeated it for 8 times i will do it over and over again sometimes cause i just love this show it never gets old!

That was an incredible montage, some of these scenes felt very Scorcese-like, absolutely great cinematography.
If you ever happen to cross this message before having seen this show, beware. It's not just gonna be an intense cinematographical life changing experience but something that will also leave in you a profound regret and somehow, disgust. The disgust of knowing you won't ever find something that even came close to that masterpiece. I truely hope I could lose my memory and endlessly re-enjoy that show.

Mr. Scorsese was a huge fan of the show, and almost directed an episode. He also did a cameo on the show.
I'm re watching it for like the 4th time.....the little details and all the stuff I'm connecting and putting together for the first time....Is fucking insane . It's honestly truly beautiful and incredible. The way its filmed, the music,facial expressions. I can go on all day
I just finished this amazing show a few days ago and i had to research if you had made a video about it. At that point i felt sorry you didn't had one already, but now, you just done it like magic. Thank you so much for remembering the good times. (;
how amazing this is. Big love from Tokyo Japan.
I watched this video everyday since the first day of November of 2022.After watching this video at that day,it made me willing to watch The Sopranos. Started watching The Sopranos at November 2nd of 2022 and Finished watching season 6 finale in December 25. You introduced me to the greatest thing I have ever watched since Breaking Bad. Thank you and will be coming back to this video everyday. Love your perfectly edited video.
I've always told my friends that if I was ever asked by someone what the one series they should watch if they had one month left in their lives, that it's The Sopranos. I can't put into words just how amazing and perfect it really is.
Really nice edit and it definitely shows the beauty of this shows along with capturing a lot of the emotional moments the characters go through in this show. To the creator of this video, really good eye on what to put in this video concerning the cinematic moments and this show has a lot of them. I love this show!!!!!!!
today would have been James gandolfinis 61st birthday
Simply beautiful! You selected the precise imagery that, in their independent aesthetic power, manage, at the same time, to be narratively significant, leaning on the record that works, at this point, as the musical icon of the series. In addition, you did it without spoilers. Bravo!
My dad used to watch this show all time when I was younger and I finally watched the whole thing through a few months back. Greatest decision I ever made
The Sopranos isn't a show you normally think of when you think of beautiful-looking shows, but clearly there's a case for it here.
Everybody talking about the excellent editing and no one realized what a sad song he chose. Man that hurts :( Perfect timing. Thanks for it!
Finished this series just few seconds ago... Wow i can finally say and prove this is the GREATEST tv series of all time.
Been waiting for this since a while, this made me realize how actually good this show was and how much I miss it, it was one long and unique experience
No other show... every time I've watched the Sopranos from beginning to end I would always catch something new that I didn't realize before. A new meaning to a scene, a different interpretation, etc. It's a trend setter, a leader, and nothing will ever be greater. The show has the greatest ending to all shows because it keeps you wondering, it keeps you talking; No direct answer to your questions which is why people are still talking about it years later. Brilliant!

The way they played with colors and it got darker shades each season to the close up with Christopher and the colors around him messing with his clothes.
