I find myself reciprocating this thought, though I feel like this makes it harder for you to actually find SB to enjoy yourself with and being an extravert in this way of living is truly hard to comprehend. What do you think? What advice would you give me to be more at ease with these circumstances? I really want to be able to be sociable with many people and still talk with like minded people :

Wow!!! I felt this in my soul. At 74 it was nice to hear that she does not count the days left but enjoys every day in the now. I think everyone in their 70s and 80s think about how long we have left and this has put a wonderful perspective on that. I feel honored to be growing older. Even with the aches and pains my heart is still beating 🥰 God bless everyone.

It is not a question of age. Every one young or old can die every minute. When people are mouning that they are getting old I say you have two options in life to die young or to die old so we have to be so grateful every day that we have another day in life. In the Jewish tradition there is a morning pray which means gratitude to God that I wake up in the morning. "Mode Ani".

Everything in your video is perfect. I am 73, wrinkled and gimpy, and I agree with you 100%. I just want to add that for animals, food IS love. It is not separate. We easily forget that as humans we have free access to food most of the time, anywhere, any kind. Animals never know if or when their next meal will come, even pets. And they are grateful when it appears. This is love.

I'm a college teacher and my students are going to be watching this with me next time we have class. This is a powerful statement on what it really means to be alive, what this mindboggling experience really comes down to... not chasing anything outside of ourselves but just getting to know the body and the spirit we are born in and with. Какая приятная женщина! У меня бабушка тоже такая, ей простые вещи доставляли удовольствие. Она вставала в 5 утра, шла готовить, гладить бельё. Днём в огороде занималась растениями. Когда я подходила, она всегда мне давала понюхать свежевыглаженое бельё, попробовать морковку или помидорку. А самое лучшее-это была баня по субботам. Бабушка заваривала свежий чай, потом мы парились, тёрлись грубой мочалкой, потом порка вениками, контрастный душ и домой, пить чай. Зимой мороз стоял -30, она меня закутывала в сто одёжек и я быстро по сугробам бежала домой под светом луны. Так здорово! Я к сожалению не умею так радоваться домашним делам как она это делает

Yeah love this ❤❤❤ You have to know yourself to be yourself, essentially.

" What can i hear, what can i see, what can i feel today?" That one phrase will help me in times of depression, and every other day when I wake up and feel like there's nothing for me. Chronic mental illness has its challenges and one of them is to get a sense of meaning about our existence, something not too complicated that you can repeat every day, something that involves what you have to give, and what you can receive. Her words are so palpable, i can see myself asking those questions and find beauty in my days. Winters are especially hard with suicidal ideation, all the darkness, the season lasts for several long months here, you feel trapped. This is my new mantra as i'm turning 50 very soon. Thank you for the gift of words. I might not have her cheerful spirit, but, i could carry a bit of her with me.

I think it’s harder in cold climates, it is for me too. Maybe you could get a special spectrum light, which brightens the home in winter. Please take heart, there are better days ahead, get some good books to help you. Peace from Nervous Suffering by Dr. Claire Weekes, is a good one. God bless.

I see my great grand-mother in her... She was 101 when she passed. I remember her with a soul so young and sparkles in her eyes... How lovely, to watch and listen, to her words, every word she said is true I am 86, I love my life, each day is a gift, I see beauty all round me, have just come home from a visit to see my family, and in my garden, a host of spring flowers, to greet me on my return, It’s only very early spring here in Ireland, but I got so much joy, on my comming Home, my pet cat was delighted to see me, bless her, my only company now, as my dear husband is now free from his pain, each day, I wish him peace.

Lovely to watch Annie grow old so gracefully and as I am growing old too, would love to follow her path. Acceptance makes life easier.

I remember being scared of aging, which was not long ago. I remember looking at my forehead lines and just wanting to find some sort of cream to make them go away. Now, I embrace aging, because its a part of life, and this life is beautiful, flawed and all, its beautifully imperfect. This video had me smiling so much, I was honestly tearing up. Absolutely agree with you - we all have our down unique set of circumstances, and we create our reality from there. It can be more tricky for those living in apartment blocks to access nature - but everywhere, all around us every day, we can find the beauty. In a local park or reserve, even just the birds in the city centre or the clouds before a rain storm - there is so much to make us smile. I always smile as I walk the streets and see beautiful birds, I thoroughly enjoy sunny days, the blue sky, the white clouds that changes patterns every now and then. Sunsets make my heart melt, oh how I love them, I love to see the ocean and feel the ocean breeze. There are so many things to love and enjoy all around us, we just have to slow down and take the time to notice.

I felt the need to watch this 3 times, so I could catch every word and realize the depth of meaning and feeling behind each one. So many of my own thoughts and feelings were echoed in Annie's thoughts. For us to know that it is completely natural to welcome our advancing years, and that the ' beauty of living' still lies within us. Thank you Annie, for sharing your beautiful wisdom. I've watched this several times and will watch again. I am77 and learning to accept wrinkles. She is such an inspiration and puts a smile on my face.

As I have long lost all my elders, I so appreciate the wisdom of those older than myself to help show me the way! My mother would have been 99 this year on her birthday, April 7th. I still miss her every day after 16 years. My husband died 12 years ago... He is sorely missed❣Thank you!

I’m 23 and I feel with no purposes in life, i feel already tired of living. nothing makes me feel excitement. it’s a very weird feeling. I try to care about what surrounds me, I mean the real things, my family, dogs, nature, what truly matters and live because of them but sometimes it’s just so hard to get out of bed. I always say that I’m an old soul that already lived enough and that’s why nothing gets me anymore. 💔

At almost 62 years old I identify so much with this lovely lady. I gave up hair dye 5 years ago, I stopped looking at the sagging skin and wrinkles like they were a problem that needed to be fixed because some clever marketing company told me "I'm worth it". I am exactly as I'm meant to be, where I'm meant to be. My health, my family, love and nature are the focus of my life. I'm embracing each day, even the day's when I'm down and don't feel like doing anything because the day will end and a new dawn will follow.

Long ago, I had decided to age gracefully, to live abundantly and to die satisfactorily with a smile. I know that my skin texture will only scare me. I am ever so young inside eternally. I talk and commune with my awareness. I ask questions...I ask my soul about its likes, loves, girlfriends and adventures. I also spend tons of hours with the moving monsoon clouds, the rising sun, the green trees, fresh air, with birds discussing Top Gun Maverick. There is no time to be sad, see the wrinkles and apply makeup or hair dye. I have set the alarm. Have to get up at 0430h tomorrow morning. Drive up to the lake nearby, set up my tripod and camera, click the sunrise and listen to the birds, talk to my soul....Wonder where is the time to get old....

I love this so much. I enjoy the early morning and light a candle and sip my coffee. So grateful for a new day to unfold and opportunity that might present. At 65 I have never been more content. In my early morning, the rest of the world sleeps and I sit in it's quietness.

I believe that the Japanese phrase Mono no Aware meaning the Pathos of Things perfectly encapsulates one of the main points she makes. It’s not the sheer beauty of the Cherry Blossoms that make people flock to see them in Japan but more so the transience of their flowering period. Life is beautiful because it will eventually fade. In being aware of the short time we have here on Earth, we can better appreciate the things that matter in life.

Thank you for this, and all your videos.I watched this having my coffee on my patio on a rainy 4th of July weekend...listening to the birds and the quiet of the morning.The hostas are about to have their flowers bloom any day now...I will turn 65 this month...and have learned it truly is the little things in life that you learn to appreciate as you get older...maybe because you realize...you don't know how much time you have left...but also my 9 year old inner child is still alive and well...and will never really allow me to totally "grow up"...Always enjoy the simplest pleasures...they are truly the most important...the best gifts...Happy Birthday America...!!! It has given me more time to appreciate the simple things which are important in life and, as you say, reconnect with my inner child who is still alive and well. Every time I watch this video I get something else out of it. She's so calming and peaceful, such a joy to listen to and watch. The cinematography is also so beautiful and really brings the video together to the meditative quality it has. I used this video as part of a journaling exercise and for a mindfulness exercise. It would be hard to watch this and not appreciate the beauty. Could you imagine if everyone had someone like her to spend an afternoon with in nature?

Thank you for sharing the deep and genuine thoughts of this wonderful lady. I am 45, mother of two young girls. I don't know how quickly I got to this age. If I can stay as positive as this lady is at her age I would have really achieved something. I think she is very right the key is acceptance. It's not just the blooming Rose she notices but also the withered one. There is beauty in each stage of our lives, we just have to explore it like she says. The first sentence she said, 'everything you do, you do for yourself' just hits me. I'm 23, still attending the university and I have been delaying many things which I am supposed do. Idk i just lost interest doing what I need to do in life and as a student. When I think about it, I still have many things to achieve but it seems that not a single thing matters to me. I lost my motivation in everything. Can someone please give me a piece of advice?

Omg your life is so relatable to mine . I started Uni 4 years ago . I haven’t yet finished it . I’m struggling. No matter what I do , I fail some units . I have lost interest in the subject too and I just want to graduate at this point . I don’t know what I’m gonna do , but hopefully it will turn out great . Dear Sheila and Sushmita. I'm glad that you've found each other comments, and that you can take comfort in knowing that you don't feel alone. Sometimes, when motivation is low for me, I choose to take a short break from my usual routine - doing different activities, reconnecting with people outside of my usual group - and the shift sometimes helps to bring a new perspective. If you feel very stuck - maybe a session with a counsellor to talk through what might be blocking your energy? I know that our university offered this service to students at no, or very low, fees? And remember to be kind and gentle with yourself - it's a beautiful journey of self discovery. Much love to you both. Justine. x
