The Beatles - Yesterday - A pedal steel guitar part

Here’s another Beatles song that I thought might be interesting to put a pedal steel guitar part on.
Originally I recorded a separate pedal steel part playing each of the instruments in the string quartet.
However that sounded awful as the synchronisation was off.
As such I dropped that in favour of simply playing the accompanying chords on the pedal steel.
As I jammed to the backing track, I realised there wasn’t much opportunity to put in fancy fills so I just kept it straight apart from from a few bits here and there.
If there's anything I've learned doing this, it's where to find the minor seventh chords on the neck.
The backing track consists of the famous acoustic guitar track and a bass guitar playing the cello part.
As usual I fully expect this video to be hit by a KZread copyright content notice as soon as it is uploaded.

Thanks for watching, Dan. It was a bit of a rush job, to be honest.

This is splendid! Really spot on. I was waiting for the blue note after "...why she had to go, I don't know, she wouldn't say"...and of course you did not disappoint. As lovely as the string arrangement is on the record, hearing a pedal steel in gifted hands play it is really awesome. Thank you for this. Subbed. Any possibility you would cover "Hello Mary Lou", by Ricky Nelson sometime? It would be sweet to hear your take on it! Cheers!

@@lapsteels8 Hi, Phil, the Student model seems to work all right for me. No particular problems with quality of build or playing problems. This is the only pedal steel I have if you watch my other videos. For SGF, I presume you are referring to the Steel Guitar Forum. I'm not sure what "stage one" refers to in your comment. A particular brand of pedal steel maker? I bought my GFI from Scotty's Music in St Louis. The proprietor Scotty recommended it so I took his advice. Like all instruments best to try them out in person if possible. I couldn't in my case because I was half way around the world so I had to rely on Scotty's wisdom.
