Picked one up today for $45 sealed at a local record store. It had been sitting on their shelf since 2018!

Yeah, this one didn't sell so well, I suppose. The CD box is superior. That's been corrected with subsequent releases.

I just wish they had offered a vinyl box set for the 2017 Sergeant Pepper release that included a mono copy.

Watching in 2023, I don't know how I missed this before, as I'm subscribed, but I also got the 50-dollar box at Wal-Mart. It had been 90 plus, so I'd always been resigned I'd never have it, but God is good.

Congrats on the engagement! I also have the 4LP set of this release and it seems to me that at first they thought people would not buy deluxe editions on vinyl as they included less material (not the book or less tracks) With George's release of All Things Must Pass the Vinyl set includes all the material. All tracks in the 8LPs and the book. I'm glad to see that for the Let It Be release they opted to include all the material again on vinyl format.

I have the 4LP white album and the 5LP All Things Must Pass. I'm just dying for October 15 when my 5-record Let It Be arrives (plus digital download on I tunes).

Great video Mike! I really enjoyed the unboxing. I passed on the vinyl for the 50th anniversary and sticking with the 6 CD set. The 4 LP set does look like a very nice package. Congratulations on your exciting personal news. Looking forward to seeing your Let It Be unboxing. Take care!

I found a copy of the 4 LP at $49.95 today. However, there was another barcode sticker on that price tag. I scanned the barcode and it was $25! I was skeptical, but I took it to the register and sure enough, it rang up as $25. I couldn’t resist, despite owning the CD/BluRay box set AND the 3 CD equivalent, too. I guess they needed to make room for other vinyl releases. I’m tempted to sell it at a local record store and make some money on top of that, but I’ll probably keep it.

Man! I just got that same set yesterday and had to pay $100! Wish i started collecting a lil earlier than around 8-9 months ago. Or got an copy at walmart, sadly never found one at walmart so i just went and got it at my local 2nd & Charles since that was only place by me that had it.

I just bought this and enjoying it so much. I’m definitely gonna frame the photos it came with and hang them up.

Congratulations on finding Real Love ❤️, cuz you know it ain’t easy, you know how hard it can be. I too have seen the 4 LP box set for $49.95 at Wal Mart and have not bought it. I have the Super 6 cd deluxe box set, so I have not bought the lp’s. I might just buy this box set now.

Thank you!! I see what you did there. If you can get this box for the discounted price, I think you'll be happy with it.

Those stickers are a royal PAIN!! But you know what I do in most cases, that works well most of the time? I take a hair blow dryer set on medium heat and run it over the sticker, at a comfortable distance, and majority of the time it peels off with ease. Just be careful and it will work well. Not too close not too far away. Use your own good judgement and it will work out. Good Luck! :)

@@MagicalMysteryMike Hope it works okay. It really depends on the adhesive on the sticker and it's age. The newer the sticker the adhesive will remain on the sticker not the item. It's the best way I know of. :)

Watching in 2023, I walked over to where I store my 2014 Mono reissue, and that has the openings at the top. You're right, though, it would've been nice to have a stencil number on the remix as it is on the mono LP.

@@MagicalMysteryMike It took long enough to get the cash together for the CD box, so I was lucky that was still around, and I ended up buying the vinyl albums individually - 22 bucks a piece and the White album was 38, I want to say. .

@@MagicalMysteryMike It was expensive enough, something like $400 when it was in print, and now that it's out, it's going for at least $2,000. Back in '14, I just started getting them individually.

@@MagicalMysteryMike Actually mike I need to ask you , is it allowed to use snatches of original beatles tracks then? The reason I ask is that I had my Beatles Cover that I recorded , removed from a video. Just seemed a bit strange considering it wasn’t the original version .

@@beatledavesbeatleschannel The short answer is "No." I've had the same thing happen with using Beatles tracks, so I generally avoid it altogether. If ever using short "snatches" I relegate what's playing to in the background of the video, as it was with the few bars of "Birthday."

Prop the box at a 45 degree angle. Gently drip a drop or two of lighter fluid at the junction of the cellophane wrapper and the WalMart sticker. The goal is to loosen the sticker just enough to allow you to pull it back 1/16 and inch or so. Let it soak for 3 to 5 minutes to dissolve the glue. Pull the sticker back 1/16 and inch-now you use the 1/16 and inch as kind of a dam to allow you to put more lighter fluid on the dam and it will work its way into the glue-wait a few and put the sticker back a bit more. Repeat as necessary

I'm glad you were finally able to get the 4 LP set. Interestingly, my wife bought my set as a gift as well! But this was way before the discounted Walmart price which is a great deal. They must have expected a lot more people to buy these editions so there are plenty left over to sell at this price. Enjoy the music, and congratulations to you and soon-to-be Mrs. Mystery Mike.

Another great unboxing, Mike! I do have to confess, however, that every time the needle drops on the vinyl, I gasp a little. It comes down so hard! Not a vinyl guy by any stretch of the imagination. However the package is beautiful. I too have a Bootleg CD of the Esher tapes. Having an excellent copy and legal copy of this version of Dear Prudence is one of the things that make life worth living just like having a new fiancé. Will she be making cameo appearances other than her hand that is? Some of my favorite KZread channels are put together by committed couples. Congrats to you both.

Come to think of it, I was disappointed they buried the mono white album in the blue ray disc. But I’m glad they gave it to us in some form.

Mike, is this actually at half speed as the hype sticker indicates? Or did it mean something else?

This refers to how the vinyl was cut. Here's a quote from Miles Showell that explains it a bit more: "It’s a vinyl cutting process whereby the disc-cutting lathe for an LP is run at half the speed - so for an album that would be 16 and two thirds, which is half of 33 and a third - and the master source is run at half the speed as well. So they’re locked together, both of them running at the wrong speed - slowly, basically." The album still plays normally at 33 1/3 for listening to it.

I love your review of this boxset and the professional quality of your video…..but you should upgrade that toy turntable of yours. Watching that tonearm “plop” onto that record made me cringe and I am no where no close to being a so called audiophile, just a fan of records and turntables for the last 45 years.
