The Beatles - She Loves You (2022 Stereo Mix)

My attempt at a stereo mix, with the drums and bass panned on the left, vocals on the center, and guitars on the right.
(2023 edit: It was only recently that this video’s copyright block was somehow lifted, allowing it to be seen again. I hope you enjoy this! I might remix this soon, with improved isolation of the instruments and maybe even the individual vocal parts!)

Coming in from the future here. Very similar to the official stereo remix, but the drums are centered. This mix sounds even better than the official because it's not scanned vinyl like the new thing. There's more saturation and artifacts on the 2023 mix.

NICE ! This song in my opinion is the most enthusiastic recording the Beatles ever made, I don't exactly know how this She Loves You" suggestion got in my browser from KZread, I guess it's because I listened to "Gimme Shelter." That was great to hear! Generally I don't chat on computers, and with Beatles, It's almost dangerous for me., They're just too huge/ popular. I rarely read the stuff under Beatle videos either, Because I just can't take too much of these often misguided half truths, but I guess people mean well, so it's not for me to say really. What you did with "She Loves You" is interesting because it made Johns rhythm guitar stand out more, I never noticed a couple of the rhythms I just heard. I also found it even more interesting that someone would actually want to do this and take the time to do this! You might find this next bit interesting? Your stereo version makes the engineers recording edits stand out more. So that's, maybe not such a good thing but certainly interesting. The final released version of "She Loves You" is taken from 2 maybe 3 different run throughs (takes) of the song so there are about 3 maybe more edits on this track, the most obvious one is edit,... at 1:23 pride can hurt you too, from a different take (most likely?) and then edit... 1:29, because she loves you. I think I heard one more, maybe it was just a bad punch in during Georges guitar riff. (Punch in ? well sort of,) on these early 2 track recordings to get another track they would sometimes actually have two people trying to push the play buttons on two separate machines at exactly the same time and then they would simultaneously actually be recording this event on to another machine, And it was hit or miss, let's try it again 1 2 3 go. It's really hard to imagine but it's true. That's how primitive multi track recording was back then , well it was almost 60 years ago! The good news is these early two track tape recorders were perhaps the finest two track machines in all of London! I'm not going to say, that this was absolutely the case on "She Loves You" but I do know this approach was not uncommon back then. Then someone came up with the idea of modifying a tape head , and in doing so turned a world class famous two track machine into a 3 track machine that sounded almost as good. ( also for the record, there's a tiny chance that those are not edits but I seriously doubt it.) Anyway a Three Tack machine would be better then trying to get two people to try to get two machines to start playing at exactly the same time! I suppose the rest is history. You might already know this stuff, anyone who takes the time to turn a Beatles recording that only exists in mono into stereo, and not fake stereo must know a thing or two! And by the same token if you don't know about some of these primitive techniques I can't imagine that you wouldn't find all this at least somewhat interesting. Woops, I did it again , I guess this is why I usually don't get too involved with Beatle stuff. I get all carried away. I've gone too far! What can I say? It's been a life long passion for me. I've been studying and singing this stuff all my life. It's great to see young people like yourself keeping this great music alive. Wow! , I just noticed you have a 1.36k subscribers. That a real lot! I suppose? Actually I don't know what a real lot is when it comes to social media. 4000 friends on Facebook is that too many? is 55 good? how about? ( oh that's right everybody gets to read this, I actually forgot about that part halfway through all this rambling of mine.) Well that's okay. F.W.I.W? I have a bunch of Beatle sound alike videos where I sing and play everything they're on KZread with maybe 75 hits or less on each one. "I'll be back" "Yes it is " and "Because" to name a few. But I don't have any subscribers, and these recordings are actually good, well I don't work too hard when it comes to social media I just post and then forget all about this posting event! So I guess I'm the Swan label guy and you yourself must be on Capitol, The Big Distribution Label! Come to think of it, I think the real reason I played your "She Loves You", was because I saw the Swan label, Great idea! I'll be looking for more of your posts, Alexandra, with all your prescriptions I mean subscribers I'd imagine you must have a lot of cool things on KZread. I'm finally beginning to embrace KZread. I grew up with T.V. being the only real media choice. Thanks for sharing. And that's a wrap! Hunter
