You never have to apologize for showing your emotional reaction to a song. That's why everyone watches these reaction videos in the first place! The song was written and sung by Paul McCartney. He's the one on the upper right with the full beard. He wrote it after he had a dream about his mother, Mary Patricia McCartney, who had died when he was 14. McCartney was dealing with a lot of tension within the Beatles and his mother came to him in the dream and told him to relax and "let it be."

This song was written more than 50 years ago, and it's based on a dream Paul had on his dead mother Mary basically giving him an advise to stay positive despite all the turbulences the members of the band were having at that time. These troubles eventually led the band to break up less than a year later. I wonder what Sir Paul feels about a song with such personal lyrics as this one making young people cry 50 years after he composed it.

Exactly! They were at the point of No Return they had been together overall since 1956, and went through various group changes. They released "Love Me Do" in 1962 hit the big time in 1964 and then by 1970 so much happened. They achieved so much but they were growing up and growing apart. They broke up in 1970 and reached a point that most of the time in the 1970's they didn't talk to each other. After John Lennon died, they reunited at Ringo Starr's Second Wedding and the Fellows worked with George Harrison "All Those Years Ago". If you can listen to The Temptations version.

@@laminage They actually hit the "big time" in 1962 in the UK. They didn't break America until 64 when they appeared on the Ed Sullivan show after having their first number one in the States. But there was already "Beatlemania" in Britain and Europe with a string of number ones under their belts. Contrary to popular American belief, America did NOT discover the Beatles. They are in fact British, just in case y'all think they are American.

@@BueyBuey-rv8cx I know, I have noticed this a lot, Americans talking about The Beatles as if they are American or something. I was having an argument with a guy on KZread recently who was trying to say the American Capital albums were the original Beatle albums and even better than the British "versions" . In the end I had to post links to two articles on how The Beatles would get pissed off with the American Capital releases being a mishmash of tracks and even of poor quality, to finally shut him up. Because he just wouldn't believe me, and this wasn't some young dude, he proudly stated he had been following them since late 1963. I had to point out I had been following them since 1962. The fact that America was so jealous of the Beatles that they actually MANUFACTURED a group "The Monkees" as the American answer to The Beatles says a lot. Cheers mate.

I reccomend you to listen to songs like Penny Lane, Eleonor Rigby, Yesterdey (You probably heard that one) and many others... Something no one is mentioning is the fact that The Beatles actually made front page (at the top!!) headlining news around the world when they broke up. They were THAT important to everyone worldwide. Try naming another band making front page news just because they broke up. Watch the most incredible Beatles documentary called How The Beatles Changed The World. It shows how everything they did the world followed suit regarding music, lyrics, clothing, hair styles, how time spent in a recording studio could be completely different, etc. They were the first to prove that music could be art. The notion that an entire album should be recorded in just a few hours went out the window. They slowed down tapes therefore altering how it sounds. They inserted samples of things like birdcalls, etc. They had a short drum beat cycling over and over throughout an entire song. (Tomorrow Never Knows...from the Revolver album) They did things no one did until them. Geniuses!

I have a plaque hanging in my living room with a quote from St. Julian of Norwich which says 'All shall be well, all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.' I look at it every day to remind myself that as bad as things may seem, 'all shall be well' in the end. This song just puts that sentiment to music, I believe - letting go of fear and anxiety, and just 'let it be'. It's long been one of my favorites among the Beatles' catalogue. I'm so glad that you were deeply touched by this song. It is beautiful, both in melody and especially in meaning. :)

You my friend crying shows that you have a great heart and a Heavenly soul. The story of how the song came about was divine intervention. And I'm a True Believer that the Beatles came together through divine intervention. Not many people know this but when they were on The Ed Sullivan Show for the first time there was not one report of crime in any of the major cities in America. To this day no band can claim that title.

hi, nice for me to find your channel and see this reaction I am 63 years old and BEATLES has been the band that accompanied my youth, along with the former BEATLE in their solo careers "Let it be" is his latest single released, it's a song that touches the emotions, a deep lyrics and nostalgia but with hope, a beautiful melody on the piano and an extraordinary interpretation of Paul McCartney for me it's like a hymn, one of his five best songs And 50 years later McCartney plays it on his tours in one of his most emotional moments I was excited when I saw him at the stadium two years ago on his last visit to my country Argentina Besides BEATLES in the 60s, my other favorite band is ABBA, the Swedish pop group in the 70s and I would like to suggest that you listen to them for your reactions They were two couples who were very versatile in musical genres they rose to world fame with their triumph at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 with their song "Waterloo" and had more than 20 worldwide hits such as: S.O.S. Mamma Mía Fernando Dancing Queen Take a chance on me Chiquitita The winner takes it all And even after being separated for almost 40 years, their music is kept alive thanks to theatrical shows and two musical movies: Mamma Mía 1 & 2, with great actors like Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnam. Hope to see you soon in another BEATLES or ABBA video Kind regards from Buenos Aires, Argentina
