Can you all imagine what it would have been like if The Beatles had gone on tour with this Album?? Can you imagine what "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" would have been like IN CONCERT?? OMG… they would have crushed the world with that tune! They probably would have had a world-class light show to go along with all that wall-of-sound/ambient/trancey instrumental outtro! The guitar leads would have developed and they probably would have just jammed the hell out of that and "Come Together" and "Oh Darling" and all that great music! I is the stuff of dreams, sadly, to muse on how it could have been, had they hung in there. Geez.
Billy Preston played the Hammond organ, the white noise at the end was generated on a Moog synthesiser by John Lennon.
"TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS" is worth a listen, Millie!

Oh, yes yes
"I Want You/She's So Heavy" never ends, it just runs out of album. Definitely catch "Tomorrow Never Knows". Great job!!
Old man alert.. I wish you could have experienced the effect these albums had on us in the '60s. We'd get the record, put it on the turn table and play it over and over, staring at the album cover and sleeves, taking everything in. And we knew all our friends were doing the same. It was a shared experience. 10000 songs on some device can't equal the joy of music from those days.

@@DerekDerekDerekDerekDerekDerek Agreed. it's just the quality and creativity in music that makes the experience different --- most of the experimentation in Rock music was done during the mid sixties into the nineties --- then we hit a wall, not due to the creative talent of the time but simply because we had pushed it to a place where pop/rock could not help but to begin recycling and feeding off itself --- the future of rock at some point became it's past, if you take my meaning.
Bright Angel Millie, I love the smile and light in your eyes whenever you feel the music touch you. Great music choice and love your commentary.
Tomorrow Never Knows.
Well done, Millie! I agree, The lyrics are simple, but you can't wait to hear them again and again! ☮️

@@Brandi6666 I commented that Billy Preston was on keyboards because in the video, she asked who was on keyboards. And yes, I give props to George Martin all the time.
welcome to the beatles universe. i like your reactions, they come from your heart. i´m from germany and i miss these days so much. remember: no english in school, no internet, no goggle. so my work for weekend was: buy the new single, play it round and round and round, take the dictionary, try to understand and interpet it and write it down. in school on monday you were everyones friend. 60´s
Thing i really loved is how the soundscape at the end of this song kept building up, almost chaotic and just... stops. Leaves you in a wtf moment. Saw you had it too.
Hey Millie! You have fast become one of my top go to channels on KZread. I am a lifelong Beatles fan and idolize Paul McCartney. I too am a left handed bass player and own a Hofner 500/1 Beatles bass. 1964 version. Have it 10 years. Its a replica but was handmade at the Hofner factory in Germany. Has the authentic original strap Paul used. I have the exact strings he used in the late 60's. Rotosound flat wound. Have an Ampeg 500 watt portaflex. I use Pauls settings on the bass and have the exact Fender picks he used. I too mimic his left hand positioning strumming the strings. I am 66 and caught the tail end of the Beatles in late 60's. I saw Paul live in every decade from the 70's to present. 1976 Wings over America in Madison Square Garden was the best concert of my life. Only 6 years removed from the Beatles
Millie, so glad you loved this song. This is from Abbey Road, The Beatles last album. As you can hear, they went out on top. If you listen to their entire catalog, please know that their early tunes, are simple, but beautiful. Some rockers, a lot of love songs. Their music progressed at such an alarming speed. In 8 short years, they developed into what you just listened to. So enjoy their early stuff, because that is part of the journey. One last thing, I think you are the cutest reactor on you tube. Thanks for reacting to the greatest band in history...The Beatles!
Entire Beatles catalog!? I'm subscribing! They are my favourite band. If you're trying to listen to everything don't forget the singles which were released between the albums.
Lifelong Beatle fan here since I first saw them on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964, I was 8 years old, and I knew after seeing them that I wanted to play guitar! And I did, I was in a Rock band in my teens and 20s in the 1970s,....and at 67 I still play almost every day! All because of that fateful Sunday night in February in 1964, and I wasn't the only one, not by far! All across the US, in the months following the Beatles two appearances on The Ed Sulivan Show, sales of electric guitars skyrocketed out of sight, and it continued for decades! The Beatles started it all.
One of my favorite Beatles songs.
The Distortion has an interesting effect on the lead vocals
"It's All Too Much" from Yellow Submarine is another wild one from The Beatles.

Yes but I love It's Only A Northern Song better, one of their most underrated psychedelic songs with a great hook.
Watch this song used in the movie "Across The Universe" to get a totally different meaning from this song. Highly recommended.
You should react to Oh Darlin! Lets be honest, you can react to pretty much anything from The Beatles and it will be awesome!
Great review! I'd be totally with you if you analyzed the entire Beatles catalog, Millie.
Billy Preston played the keyboards. The "sh" sound you mentioned is white noise by George and John on George's Moog Synthesizer. It was an early use of the Moog on a recording. As the song was getting long, John told the engineer to cut the tape during playback, that's why it ended so abruptly.
@mysterymac38

I had heard that john told the engineer that they were going to just keep playing until the reel ran out of tape.
Just made my day 😍
on the "white album" paul sang a really short song called "why don't we do it in the road" where he just sings the title over and over. this is like john's response. a mega-long song where he just sings the title over and over again. the beatles had an interesting hook where several songs had surprise endings; i.e. "strawberry fields forever" and "helter skelter." among others. the "abbey road" album had surprise endings on both sides of the album. the beatles were just very unique and magical. they had this unique ability to make almost everything they did something fun and special. love your glasses. all us cool people who wear glasses gotta stick to together. thanks for the video.
The unsettling intense whooshing came from white nouse produced by a very early Moog synth played by John Lennon.
Hi Millipede.😊 Luv ya girlie❤
Millie! I’ve missed you!!!
The outro on this one is a WHOLE vibe.
Greatest band ever. Thank you Millie McCartney
you have just experienced the beatles!
Did you know that Paul McCartney played a Hofner Viola Bass when you got yours?
ooh ♥ yer hair! Great song! I suggest The Beatles - Norwegian Wood
Who else opened up this song on iTunes, cranked the volume to ludicrous, and synched it in time with Miss Millie listening?
This is a great song for a bass player.
We had compression in the late 60s earlier in the studios. True compression is chopping/rounding the peaks off the waves. It is great when used properly. The problem now is data compression in mp3 format.I hate it. Not only is the sound wave chopped anything around a frequency is deleted. This sucks the life out of the sound. A vocal note and a guitar note the same or close can get dropped out. Depending on what's intended a guitar solo can go hollow in deference to a background vocal or a lead vocal can drop out and a bass note left in. The data compression is the worst but when you scrunch frequency in sound compression too it just sucks. The old one inch tape had massive bandwidth. Even a cassette tape is way better than mp3. CD wave format is the minimum I will listen to. I record stuff at 96K sometimes usually 48K and mixdown in mono for space saving. When it's just me no stereo is fine.
Well that's what four Rock and Roll Hall of Famers can do together.
It's fun to me watching someone listening to a song that makes them smile and bring a voice to yes your doing well my friend The Ballad of John And Yoko Sun King Yer Blues
There was compression but it was generally used sparing to trim, high peeks, and /or keep things audible -
❤❤
Another incredible song to review is HAPINESS IS A WARM GUN! Try it out!!
Millie all your singles with your band are great. You should do an album. Revolver is my favorite Beatles album
First album I ever bought (before that I could only afford singles).
Thanks for reacting to this classic Abbey Road song. I think this was about my favorite album from them.
you should hear Australian singer john farnham do a ballad version of help by the beetles with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. he has one of the greatests voices ever.

More Abbey road please. it's 100% worth it
I've always thought that Abbey Road was their best work but then again the White Album is pretty awesome also.
How are you a musician that’s never heard this before
I'm getting an equally loud echo which is hard to listen to. Is anyone else having this issue?

YT can be a right pain in the backside with their music reaction blocking tactics.
Millie is she South African??
Milline you sound like the Pixies
Yeah I know others have mentioned it but you gotta figure out how we can listen to the proper recording at the same time: it’s so muffled and sounds like it’s coming out of a Coke bottle means I gotta drop out, which I’m sorry cuz you’re a lotta fun. I’ve never heard this weird restricted sound on other Reaction Videos … good luck.
58 years old. Nothing Is Real. She doesn't exist. I don't exist.
Never heard this B4. Doubled vocal is not original sound. Not 4m 3:07 e tho it's one of my faves. Echo kills it.

There’s an Echo that doesn’t belong there and the sound quality is really fuzzy, hazy and poor… What a shame… I had to go to another reaction..
Hopefully no one pays.
Trust me. Get really stoned and listen to this and it will blow your mind.
What’s with the echo? This doesn’t sound like the original.
