Spaceforce! Has anyone seen Steve Carell's character break into Kokomo in season 1, episode 3? (I think) I had to watch it 3 times and it made me laugh out loud. My father used to play this song when I was like 5 or 6. At that time I could not even spell ABC, let alone I'm Korean. But every time he played this song, I always hummed with my father. After I turned 24, I'm now in California at a homestay house. Apparently the grandpa of this house loves the beach boys. That was such a random and unexpected moment when Google played random music at the dinner table - Kokomo. I almost forgot about this song for 2 decades, but after I listened to this song, I immediately started singing, and the grandpa and host family too. Suddenly all the memories - with my father, my childhood, friendships that I've built so far came to my mind. This is the reason why music has a special power. It can connect past and present, people from totally different countries, and put you in a mood that you never had before. It doesn't matter whether you can speak their languages or not. It doesn't matter whether you are familiar with the artist. Thank you so much for uploading this amazing song. I almost cried(but I didn't cause I'm a brave and strong young man)

Right before covid I lost my beautiful mom. The last place I was able to take her was Aruba, she started feeling sick there and who was going to think it was cancer. My warrior lost that battle.. But she loved that island so much that she recorded a video crying and thanking me for that trip. I told her I would take her again but I will never be able to do it and that breaks my heart. Now I wish I would have taken her to more places.

I heard this song from radio, Cocktail movie then on Full House. They don’t make song like this anymore. The Beach Boys will forever be one of the best ultimate rock bands and even pop. I grew up listening to them from the 80s. Philadelphia and Chicago are another group that today’s music just can’t compare. If you want to even go back Earth, Wind and Fire but the bands I just mentioned everyone can really enjoy

This was my grandmother’s favorite song 💛 I come and have a listen whenever the grief hits me; she only passed four months ago, and it feels like an eternity since I saw her. This was the song that would always come on when we were taking her for her appointments at the Mayo Clinic; whenever it comes on while I’m driving, I have to pull over.

This song brings tears to my eyes these days. It was my dad's favorite Beach Boys song. Lost him to heart failure not long ago. So thankful he brought me up listening to such good music.

this song is amazing, it uses a minor (7) fifth (Gm7), in a major key (C) the same as strawberry fields forever. Complex harmony and a perfect melody. God I love the Beach Boys.

Which is by the way a very difficult thing to do, to get bel canto or, as you put it, a perfect melody, with complex harmonies. Bee Gees are kinda similar, how deep is your love has tons of chords and a perfect melody, right. :)

I am so happy that everyone is visiting this song from the Netflix show “Space Force”. I am in love with this song and the show and I cannot be happier that they are getting recognition. I finished season 1 just yesterday and already longing for season 2! I love all the characters and the famous scene of General Naird singing this in his office is really the best scene in the entire show. Excited for Space Force season 2! ☺️

I like Space Force. I like the real Space Force too. I also like the Space Marines. (I do not actually care about whatever the Space Marines are from, I just think "Space Marines" sounds funny.)
