Never really noticed the Northampton accent until now (and I'm from Northampton). Strange how I only really notice it when I'm used to hearing other accents on KZread in general. Interesting video in any case, thanks for sharing it.

Thank you for your feedback. The video was made by the sadly departed Mike Ingram, who like you was born in the Barrett and lived his entire life in Northampton. As to what sort of local history society we are, the answer is that we are one that actively campaigns for and promotes the county's history and heritage. Our efforts have been rewarded by numerous local and national awards, and we regularly run popular and well attended events.
