26yo who has struggled with pornography for 13+ years and smoking weed for 6+. Speaking from experience, dont worry anout trying to fix anything. Dont waste another thought or moment of effort. Instead, close your eyes and thank the Lord for everything. Thank him because he’s still calling on your heart. Give yourself a little grace and pray for patience in your battle against sin. In time, everything will seemingly fall off. One thing though, you must take those steps to put yourself in a place where you CAN come to the Lord without the worldly distractions. To anyone reading this, dont you worry about a thing. The Lord WILL see you through whatever struggle you’re going through. Keep your head up brother or sister ♥️

Thanks bro, I’m right there with you. I’m 15 and struggling with lust. I’ll get a good streak. Then I’ll fail. I’ll try to figure out why I got that good streak and I can never figure it out. Just remember that your body is the temple of the holy spirit. The Lord will give you the strength that you need to break that habit. I was a smoker too. I made a promise to God that I won't touch another cigarette the rest of my life and I have stuck with it . He gave me the strength to do it been clean ever since. Thank you Jesus

Putting my faith and trust in Jesus Christ transformed my soul my heart and my mind. I was addicted to heroin and Methamphetamine for 12 years day in day out. I put my faith in Jesus Christ and I haven't had to pick up a pipe or a needle in almost 2 years. My 3 year old daughters pray with me every night. Thats the greatest gift I could ever give them is the good news of the love Jesus Christ. He hasn't failed me.

Me to God has been using him for a long long time to speak to my life and even when I was in jail by pure chance his letters came to my jail cell I was only in there for 2 weeks I've never been in real trouble. I am a member of another faith tradition but I have learned so much by his practical teaching method of how to live the Christian life.

Personally, I have found it difficult to be motivated in doing anything in my life. I feel this is the work of the devil!! I set goals on a daily basis, but then soon forget them and at the end of the day I have accomplished nothing of what I had set out to do! I pray for greater mindfulness and control in my life! I know God will allow this.

Dr. Stanley, I think, said something about living in the favor of "GOD"! I can't say this is above obedience but, more like, becomes subsequent to obedience! Do you agree? Thank you Dr. Stanley! I'm trying to be chaste! But in a world full of stress, anxiety, pain and pressure to meet the worlds standards, its really hard to not take pleasure in something! But then again, that probably is the wiles and strategems of the the devil and his minion's! He who is in me, is greater than he who is in the world! Just prayed that the Holy Spirit speak on your behalf. I would try and ask Jesus, " I know you struggled with everything,including this". "What should I do"? Remember God loved us first and it will never go away.

We say we are saved but deliberately keep sinning, we won't enter into the kingdom of God. May God's spirit move and help all of us to obey His ways. Amen.

I sowed drinking from age 14-59, neglected my children for my selfishness to choose alcohol over my family. That is alcoholism, but I reaped that now my children neglect me. Pay attention to God's word and Charles Stanley explaining it to you. I am a living testament to this.

Years ago I gave my Mom a Bible. I knew she was watching Dr Stanley on TV. I now have her Bible as my own. Every time I review sections of the text that she highlighted and underlined, I am so grateful to know that she learned the exact same things as me. Thank you Dr Stanley!

I have watched and loved Pastor Stanley for years, back to the 90's. He has been a big part of my spiritual growth. I have to wonder about those who call this humble spirit and gifted teacher a false teacher/prophet. His Bible teachings are sound!

Thankyou Dr Stanley, I've finally decided to give my entire life to the Holy Spirit that dwells in me, surrendering to God in prayer after I heard this sermon. Funny thing, but its the first time in my life since becoming saved that I have no desire or temptation to smoke cigarettes. I simply do not have a taste for it.. for my deepest desire is to taste true joy, true love, true peace and live in God's holiness. Even as a student bible believer, I know God knew he had to get through to me once and for all. He led me to your sermons. God bless you brother and all praise and Glory to God.

Charles Stanley has become a direct conduit between me and the Lord. It’s almost like God literally speaks through him to me every single time I need guidance I turn Charles on and he miraculously touches on the exact same trouble that I have in my life at that time! ❤️ I do have one request though and I have no idea where to ask it so I’m just gonna ask it here I wish there was a compilation of all the times that Charles made a joke or funny quip in one of his sermons that caused us all to laugh there has got to be at least 100 or two or even 300 of them little snippets over the years I mean he has been preaching since 1957 or so! I cannot tell you how many times he has made me belly laugh in the cleanest way possible!!

Charlse Stanley is one of the best! He is one of the few pastors he gives very practical lessons. He's older now but I remember him 30 years ago. Wow! He was on fire man! Love him dearly!
