Two years of stalking the streets as the Batman (Robert Pattinson), striking fear into the hearts of the criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City. With only a few trusted allies - Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis), Lt. James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) - amongst the city’s corrupt network of officials and high-profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens. When a killer targets Gotham’s elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World’s Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters such characters as Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), The Penguin (Colin Farrell), Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), and The Riddler (Paul Dano). As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans becomes clear, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit, and brings justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.

I like how the Joker figured out the Riddler almost instantly, but actively made his answer inflammatory so that Batman wouldn’t take him seriously. But he was right. He was 100% right.

Are you saved? Where will you go when you die? Heaven or hell? The Gospel, which means the Good News is the news that God Almighty, the Creator came in the flesh as Jesus Christ to take away the sin of the world. The one God is a trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Son came and laid down his own life to save ours. His sacrifice on the cross paid the price for our redemption with his own blood. On the third day he rose from dead and offers the gift of salvation and forgiveness to those that repent and trust in him. Although God's creation was created perfect, having no death, sickness and disease, the creation became corrupted through Adam and Eve in them disobeying God. In this rebellion the creation became fallen through the curse of sin and mankind became separated from God. This world is fallen, but God offers reconciliation to him through his provision at the cross. Ultimately God will restore his creation to perfection when he returns but those that reject his offer of redemption will remain condemned by their sins and go to hell. John 1:1,14 KJV In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD. [14] And THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH, and dwelt among us, 1 John 3:8 KJV He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Isaiah 9:6 KJV For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty GOD, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and THE WORLD KNEW HIM NOT.

Love how when it's from Batman's view of the Joker it's blurry, like how his profile of the joker is foggy - he hasn't quite profiled him fully. In contrast, from Joker's perspective, he's got Batman all figured out, hence it's clear.

Yeah, this one genuinely made my skin crawl. I really like Heath Ledger's performance and it's perfect for the tone of Nolan's movie and definitely helped redefine the character which is why it will always stand as one of the greats--- but people act like it's untouchable and it's sacrilegious to think anyone can ever compare to it or improve on it. This would not be the case if he hadn't sadly passed, imo. These movies have a completely different tone and so it's a matter of preference and I prefer this more noir, realistic take. You can tell this performance lends from Ledger's characterisation and its all the better for it but the way this is played is just far more disturbing and sadistic to me than any other portrayal, imo. I think Barry has been able to incorporate all the parts from other performances that people use to define the character and turn it into his own complete definition in just one short clip. That's some fantastic acting

The relationship between Batman and the Joker is perhaps the best dynamic out of any superhero story. There is a codependency to their conflicted relationship. For the Joker, the game is everything.. and without having Batman, there is no other game worth while. For Batman’s perspective, the Joker is the only villain that remains a complete mystery. He doesn’t understand why, but there is a mutual need for each other. One of my favorite lines from TDK, “This is what happens when an unstoppable force meets and unmovable object.” The pair can’t live with each other and can’t live without each other. I thought Matt Reeves captured this incredibly well in the short interaction we got at the end of the film. Can’t wait for more

But also because in this scene the Joker completely deconstructions the Riddler's character in five minutes which takes all the mystique and interest in the Riddler away.

When i first saw the movie i was quite pleased, since it's well crafted and stuff... But overnight my estimation towards it plummeted when i realized it was Seven ala Batman, same as The Joker being a Taxi Driver rip off. Not bad, since i'm grateful towards Joaquín Phoenix and this riddler, but they fell short once noticing the tremendous performances and story development made by Kevin Spacey (John doe on Seven) and De Niro (Travis Bickle on Taxi Driver). It's kinda sad this movies can't give a more singular rendition, even considering the comics story development standards, but now portraying this Joker kinda Lecter, you kidding me... Your comment s spot on bro. The movie s not trash but it isnt that competitive for the trained eye. We ll see if it shut our mouths in the future with sequels and stuff. Bottom line, new queen with an old dress doesnt seem a viable gimmick nowadays. Granted the creators are backed by the fans of the comics and previous movies. Good, enjoyable but not groundbreaking the morning after. Hope they find their edge and create a game changer next time.

The Joker as a character always stands out. And in these conversations between him and Batman he always steals the show; in this one, however, while I do think the Joker once again stands out... I think what adds even more to the scene is Pattinson´s portrayal of Batman. Like, in other interpretations I don´t really care about Batman as much as I care about the joker, but here, I don´t know, despite him just being there, stoic, there is a sense of... fear, not sure if fear of the guy he has infront of him or as the Joker tells, afraid of his own self. I don´t know, but I did find the scene very compelling. Can´t wait for the sequel.

He speaks in whispers, he keeps his eyes on him until he's just about to walk out, and that line "Don't you?". It just felt...off. I'm so hopeful for this interpretation. I don't want a Joker that's right or has a point. I don't want one with a tragic backstory (I would feel better if he didn't have one). I want one that's calculating, creepy as hell, and terrifying and if he can get at the core of Batman then this is something special.

This Joker is by far the darkest, most disgusting version of him. I love it.

The shift in the tone of the conversation at 3:30 and the disappointment in Joker's voice as he says "Have you read this file?" and slams the folder shut (3:35)... to me that's the Joker that's the scariest: when he's clear-minded yet frustrated when things aren't going as planned.

For me the scariest version is when he is acting "sexy" you know what i mean? Confident, feeling BIG, i dunno if there is a word for this

I know this might have taken away from The Riddler, but tbh it's a really great scene I think should have stayed in the movie. It just highlights Batman's conflict all the more, that he's afraid of these villains arising because of his own influence. The fact this fear is put in him by the Joker is just classic. Honestly, I have faith in Barry, and I hope we see him fully in the role in the future.
