@Fandom Comics - He is not the lead. The lead will be a young Gotham cop, who will have to choose if he/she wants to be a "clean" police officer, or a part of the corruption in Gotham. This was confirmed by an official synopsis, and by Reeves himself. But Im sure Gordon will be his/her mentor, and be like an angel on his/her shoulder.

I love how Colin Farrel calls peguin, "OZ". The actors looks very, very familiar with each character. I'm really looking forward for THE BATMAN.

I love that Joel Schumacher question and Colin’s answer was beautiful .

I really appreciate the "Klute" allusion the film makes with Bruce/Selina's dynamic that Kravitz talks about starting at 6:57 . Incredible movie, and I can see why you'd use Sutherland's stoic sleuth and Fonda's fierce femme fatale as influences. It might give their spin on Batman and Catwoman that cutting edge and crackling chemistry that previous on-screen versions somewhat lacked. Their relationship was always more prominent in the comics than it ever was in other media, so this makes me super happy to see. There's a very distinct 70s cinema feel to this whole project. Hints of "Chinatown" and "Taxi Driver" all over the production design, and it looks amazing.

I noticed that too! The music reflects this as well. Catwoman's theme feels distinctly noir and fits that old school '40s and '70s detective film style.

I think the chemistry is simply between Pattinson and Zoe, so that if they were to play the same script as Bale and Hathaway for example, it would still sizzle. Pattinson can have chemistry with a plank of wood, he's proved that with some of his ex-co stars. It doesn't even matter how bad the script is, lol

Colin is hilarious in many of his other film interviews. He’s so subdued here, it shows how he’s blown away by the film!

Love Rob! He is so funny and always so underrated

The way the cast and interviewers talk about how great this movie is gets me so excited

I think Colin Farrell deserves to be a main villain in the sequels, I can tell he wanted a bit more to do within this film. As even when he first came out about the role he stated he hadn’t had a lot to do. Really sucks as a penguin fan to see the character be used in such a small role especially with the amazing design and enthusiasm from Colin.

He will get his own Series, so I think that was one of the selling point. I understand you, I was also a bit disappointed, when he said that. But the fact that there will be a stand-alone Show about the Penguin with Colin Farrell is quite existing.

I must admit, I wasn't a big fan of Robert but man, I've come to respect, like him and admire how genuine, humble, hard working and real he is, I guess I really like him now lol

Zoe Kravitz is so pretty 😍 when she was casted as catwoman I was like “Yeah, that makes sense” she has that cat-like mystery to her.

Colin Farell is very good at speaking and expressing himself. Unfortunately, I didn't watch any of his interviews before the Batman. And Robert developed himself in speech over the years. it is now more serious and gives more accurate answers to questions. 👍🏻

Say what you want about Colin Farrell, but he has always been very good at acting. I wouldn't be surprised if he has a very long career. I could see him like a Richard Harris or Peter O'Toole acting long into his old age, still with that spark in his eyes and delivering a memorable performance every time.

This was a wonderful experience in the cinema. Will absolutely be going back for multiple viewings. And as much as I loved everyone's oerformances, I really really liked the look we got at Selina Kyle/catwoman.....and not to mention she's a great actress,, I think there's a lot of room for stories for all of these characters. Well done Matt reeves & team 🤌🤌🤌🤌

What’s this about spoilers?! Nothing given but process of scenes. The movie is 3 hours long! Nothing spoiled for me in any interview. Love hearing how some scenes were executed, how characters were developed, and how actors and Reeves created back stories.

This is such an underrated film. The whole singular idea, by Matt Reeves, that this is a man who is unhinged and unhealthily obsessed with fighting the criminal element at night who is constantly beating criminals to a pulp with his bare hands and with his unlimited amount of vast resources at his disposal. All he sees in the criminal element, in this corrupt town that his family helped to build and found dating back to the late 1800s, are the people who killed his parents as a young child making him an orphan. So, he dons the mantle of that which he fears the most, in the form of the Batman, after training for the majority of his life to rid his city of the evil that took his parent's lives. He dosen't know who was responsible for killing Thomas and Martha Wayne so every criminal he sees, to him, is the criminal that killed his parents on that fateful night when he was only 10 years old. He is addicted to this mission, like a drug, so as both Bruce and Batman, he spends all of his time, trying to succeed in this impossible task he has set up for himself. That's why he never sees the light of day as Billionaire Bruce Wayne and is a social outcast and pariah. He is a man driven by vengeance; by revenge. By the end of this journey, as we see Bruce on a physical, mental, emotional and psychological level and transform from a young, naive, impatient man who makes mistakes still early in his career as a crime fighter we see him then become something else by the end...a symbol of hope, an ideal, a form of inspiration that makes criminals terrified to step out at night and commit their atrocities that makes Gotham City one of the worst places to call home. A city with a history and a foundation steeped in corruption and crime that ties back to the Wayne family and and their vast fortune. It also plants the seeds that will give him the inspiration to step out in the light of day to transform into the billionaire, playboy industrialist more interested in dating models and driving fast cars in order to hide in plain sight so no one would be able to distinguish Bruce Wayme is actually the Batman. A man consumed by vengeance who transforms into a symbol of hope. Obviously a film inspired by the comic book mythos and Arkham video game series and Batman animated series from the 1990s. Ironically, a film consisting of character arc transformations and worldbuilding moments that is actually one of the most faithful Batman comic book movies to the original source material in the 1940s. Such as Detective comics issue 27 from 1937 and batman issue 1 in 1940 created by Bob kane, Bill finger and Jerry Robinson. Then, the new 52 comics such as court of owls and Zero year by tomeu morey, john ottley, Jim lee, Scott Snyder. Batman year one by jim lee, David Mazuchelli and Frank miller as well as Batman: the long halloween and Batman: ego and other tales. This essay is lterally just scratching the surface of why it's actually one of the best batman films yet up their woth the likes of the Dark knight from 2008.
