I absolutely love Chilla's art games for their unmistakable aesthetics and amazing ambience. That being said: holy fuck, was I confused by the plot of this game. So, the monk needed to sacrifice three women to summon an entity named Ubume. The second two women had to die by the hands of the spirit of the first victim, but why did she need to be pregnant? Why did the monk leave her child alive, and where is he now? What did the note mean about tricking Yoko into killing the other two, and why was that objective not checked? What exactly was the landlord's role in all of this? I got the gist that the monk tricked him into cooperating by convincing him that he was cursed, and the only way to save him was by going along with his plan, but that doesn't exactly make a lot of sense. Plus, the landlord didn't seem hesitant or remorseful in the slightest. Who was the being chained up in the basement? Was it Yoko's child, deformed from malnutrition/abuse? How exactly did the being start the fire that burned down the bathhouse in the Good Ending? Does it have some kind of supernatural ability somehow? Furthermore, in the Good Ending, why does Erena not remember the existence of Maina? Why was the village seemingly abandoned? If that was the case, did the sisters somehow slip into the spirit world or an alternate dimension when visiting the village?

@@DmitryBalabanov the ghost woman haunting the bathhouse. A Ubume is a japanese Yokai, the vengeful ghost of a woman who died during childbirth.

how do u get the bad ending? also did the order in the bathhouse items matter really? you were still holding that conditioner bottle

Bad ending you just finish the game without freeing what I assume is Yoko in the hatch. Also the bathhouse items didnt matter, it's just for an achievement. Manlybadasshero managed to do it and you can just exit through the bath and it continues with the chase sequence.

Oh he died just before he got into 205, so it loaded the checkpoint. When it loads a save it resets the hatch, so he had to get the key and go down the hatch again.

I have two theories. 1) After you free the thing in the basement, it splashes either water or oil on the priest and the landlord, setting them and the bathhouse on fire. It then saves you and the grandmother finds you outside. I believe that thing in the basement is Yoko - as when the priest tried to create the Ubume the note said he didn't manage to kill Yoko before she had a son. I think this in turn created some sort of half Ubume where the host was still alive, and was kept in the hatch while they tricked the Ubume spirit into "sacrificing a woman of their choice". 2) The thing in the basement is Yoko's son, since the end mentions it was a man. They were using him as leverage to control Yoko as the Ubume.

@@ungodly I want to add some things, Ubume is a Yokai (the one on the story) of a woman that gave birth or not of a child, and haunts the place where the kid is alive, in this case, she gave birth to a boy, with I think is the man in the basement, so it's Yoko's son trying to end the curse by burning the monk (his dad), the owner and the bathhouse. On the book it says that they are trying to summon the spirit but I think that are trying to gave offers to it to get rid of it, since the spirit is the mother of the monks son. Also her sister is spirited away, this is why the sister can't remember of her after all.

​@Pedro García yea it is confirmed . I watched a video about a guy from vietnam who found the secrect ending . He plays again 6-7 times to find this ending . This ending is so hard to find . I searched this ending but it seems very few people know about it. maybe that vietnam guy was the first to find this ending
