THANK YOU SO MUCH, I rewatched the tutorial and your basics on vacuum engines, and I got it running. The only thing is the throttle is odd in that it does not increase throttle when I give it more throttle. Any pointers in that?
Production quality is insane! You did a very good job explaining :)

Yes! I have you to thank for helping originally on how to calculate it.
i already built one of his models and it works so well
To find the displacement, I just fill up the cylinder with water and calculate the volume of it with a measuring cup, because 1ml=1cc
This is exactly what I needed

I’ve come up with an interesting concept for a vacuum engine that I want to try, and it seems logical but idk. My idea is to make a multi-stage vacuum engine, in that the used vacuum from the first cylinder is “recycled” to the next cylinder. My logic behind this is because you need the exhaust stroke, there is still some sort of vacuum left in the cylinder. This means, by my theory, you may still be able to use that second vacuum to make power. Now with my knowledge of steam engines, I propose you may need a larger cylinder to get the same effort from a smaller vacuum power. I need to make a rig to test this but if it works it I’ll be sick af
I built an engine similar to this one and its indestructable, I've run it at max rpm for like 5 mins and at idle for like 20 mins with no issues.

LVE’s can be fairly reliable if you build them right, so nice job!
To be honest the only lego vacuum engine I've ever made was a steam engine piston type design, it worked just fine, however, I truly never really properly designed a proper throttle body valve.
Silicone lubricant can also work! People use it all the time for modding LEGO pneumatic pistons
@KFPlusLegoMastery
2 жыл бұрын
Yes! I probably should’ve mentioned that in the video. The best type of lubricant is either silicone based or graphite based. I mentioned olive oil or veggie oil since those are much easier to access
Can you teach us how to build a vacuum engine, but with a supercharger? Making a system with gears for the supercharger to rotate more than the engine and thus be able to push air to the piston, making it go down faster and increasing its final rotation thx from Brazil!

why don't you just use a transmission, it's more fun too :D
@coconut_in_a_suit975

Since we are working with vaccum, and not combustion. This would result in a net loss. You could only get energy out of the engine that you put into it via the vaccum. So it wouldn’t really be a supercharger. It would just be more friction

I have made a I4 engine and it has a SOHC valve system i am going to lube it because it will improve performance

im building my own engines and i have a few questions about vacuum enginges. So first things first, does the engine need to be free(without oilpan)? And i have trouble with building intakes. I Always loose the power of my vacuum in the intake.. Do you have tips for that`?
I have a question do you need the holes next to the valve
What kind of vacuum do you use?
my gf got me the ducati build for Xmas one year. I wonder if hooking some kind of intake (in this case vacuum) manifold up to it would have a similar effect 🤔 although idk how u could build valves into the cramped space.

Where did you get your parts
how do i make a five stroke engine cause o dont have te pieces for the other one
How do you connect the vacuum to it?
i made an big I-4 Engine(without tutorial). I had a look at all rules, what you told me here and it didnt work. Well..is the cause probably the long way from the intake to the piston?
Does the vacuum need to blow out or suck in
My Piston blew up after lubricating it and running on full throttle cuz I hadn’t glued it I just reinforced it with more pieces lmao. I just glued it though, hopefully it won’t blow up Update: After making a belt chain from a very old lego Star Wars set. I’m attempting to make a centrifugal supercharger.
Olive Oil is the worst thing to use because it gets Sticky.
How do you make it run tho?…

Fuck it I’m gonna make a gas powered Lego engine
i run my vaccum engine without oil but I have found that is what makes it ru nthe fastest. if i use oil it ends up causing the engien to fall apart
One thing i dont get, is why the 1x1 technic blocks are needed
How would you tune this and wouldn't the friction from gears cause alot of friction making this better for slow high tourque engines?

The best thing for reusing your parts would be to cut a napkin and place it on the pets you want to connect. This way the parts fit tighter. Then you can just use water to get rid of the excess napkin so there is not extra friction.

I am building one at the moment, does a one valve one piston engine require a throttle valve?
@KFPlusLegoMastery

It doesn’t necessarily require one, and it’s not going to hinder the performance whether or not you add one. It just gives you more control over the speed of the engine without having to move the vacuum nozzle up and down the intake port
