That is what I notice from the other channels. Knowing joel, I never thought his actions is extreme until I watched Hermitcraft. But tbh, the hermits can level up with joel's craziness when they're outside hermitcraft.

The thing about joel that I love is that you never know if he’s gonna sing a song, confess his undying love for Lizzie or yell random words amidst a long speech in a high pitched voice. His videos are a rollercoaster and I’m here for the long ride😂

Joel has absolutely mastered the details of a traditional Japanese house. I showed the end buildings to one of my Japanese friends and he was very impressed. Keep it up handsome, big, cool man.

I really like the idea of you and Impulse joing your bases together! You're reddish-pink and his yellow could make for a lovely orange-y transition, almost like a cyberpunk/sunset kinda city! ❤🧡💛

Joel, the funky wall bits are called greebles (gree-blees) Mini war game terrain and other miniature makers use them to add a bit of detail to a flat surface. If you see a random pipe, or a bit of machinery with no specific purpose, that's a greeble!

I love how sweet joel is to gem about the lighthouse im sure it made her day also love the use of blocks that aren't usually used together

This may be the first time that glowing signs glitching when you move looks COOL rather than annoying!! They look like bright flashing neon ads, scrolling through all the sales!!

I like how joel just occasionally brings up boat boys i really hope we get some boat boy interactions in the future!

Joel my guy, the Hermit Crib tour was insane, the editing, what you showed, the music. It was all so amazing and cool, maybe you could hermit crib tour other peoples bases? (And avoid spoilers of course)

i have watched the boat event thru so many perspectives and i always get surprised whenever the skizz to scar drop from the scaffold comes up. gets me everytime. comedy gold.

not to mention, none of it is the basic chrome and marble look that people first think of with futuristic builds

I'm genuinely impressed by how much detail Joel is able to put into these builds, I could never think of stuff like using lightning rods as a pillar or glowing signs for neon decorations also Joel's place is going to fit in perfectly next to Impulse's cyberpunk city

I think it'd be awesome if Impulse and Joel worked together to make a cyberpunk city where Impulse's base is the dystopian slums and Joel's base is the elites at the top of the mountain.

Glad to see Joel cooking with the basis of a ''mega base'' (Or at least like a town part to a mega base that Joel always likes making) this early, and it's honestly looking amazing.

Joel's mixture of arrogance and awkwardness is a unique and entertaining combination. He keeps things interesting and always leaves me wanting to see what he'll do or say next.

Two of my favorite things: Joel and Hermitcraft I am so happy to see Joel hermitting his life up!!!

I'd like to imagine the reason Joel's using pink in his builds is because he's brought a bit of Lizzie with him into hermitcraft

The Crib Section was Amazing.

Joel is so amazing. It’s not that he’s predictably unpredictable, he’s just unpredictable😂 Sometimes he’s the most socially awkward, sweet, sentimental love bird you ever met, then other times he’s a complete ham, and at other times he’s a boiling ball of anger issues😂😂😂 ❤❤

Its fun seeing Joel experiment with video styles. This season is really maximilist, not just the building style but also the editing!

I love how Joel’s builds in this series kind of look likes Lizzie’s house when she was a raccoon in After Life SMP🦝❤️

I love Joels videos. They always give me a good laugh. Especially when he was enchanting his sword and went “BANE OF ARTHOP-“ and it just cut out i was laughing so hard😂 also when he was decorating the interior and he went “and guess what?! Red terracotta BAM!” And idk why but it made me laugh a lot😆. Keep up the amazing work Joel youre doing awesome!!!

In the model kit crafting world greeblies are what we call little decorative elements that add visual interest and break up flat walls. Maybe that is what you could call the details you put on the blank walls. Great video, as always!

You could use black concrete for the glow squid tank, would make the squids stick out more.

Love the new style builds Joels brought into this season. They are very tough to design and bring together even though he makes it look so simple.

The absolute vibe it's giving me is the cat game stray type of building love it!

I'm amazed at how incredible the "funky" bits look. For such a small part of the build, a couple of random redstone components really tie things together.

I'm always excited when Joel updates - he's so,, gosh!! His energy is infectious. As much as I love hermitcrafts and its many hermits, I often struggle to keep up because my mind ends up wandering (its nice tho for relaxing) But this!! I am engaged, I can focus!! I love being able to absorb the builds like this. I'm so glad he's a hermit.

I think the colours of the base look incredible and exotic! I also love the use of acacia, as it isn't the most popular wood out there. I've also never really seen that tactic with the glow ink signs! Looks gorgeous and exactly like the theme you're going for!

Grian use to be the hermit i would watch the most, but Joel is just, the way he shows how he builds and is just, its just so good.

This is so freaking cool, and I appreciate Joel choosing my favorite blocks and coming up with these amazing color palettes. It's so super detailed, but not overwhelming at all, maybe because you didn't over-saturate with the colours and colour contrasts at the same time. It's so pretty 😊

Same for artists! Adding texture in a semi random way (like the Borg cubes from Star Trek) to add visual interest!!

I love the switch up in colours. I always struggle when building in a theme to pull in different colours, but still make it feel connected. You are so good at it!

I got inspiration from you to use the signs with lines and red glowing ink and I used it in my build not as a major detail but it’s a minor decoration which fits in amazingly thanks Yeol

I love the 3rd person perspective where we can see you build and think as you build!

The extra random bits that you use for texture on the outside are sometimes called greebles, nurnies or gubbins. Greebling is actually a term used in film and model making for adding bits of plastic to a model to make it look more advanced/technological. Also, dirt scaffolding = best scaffolding

this aesthetic is really stunning, and i can't wait to see how you and impulse (and any others) blend yalls styles together. the shenanigans are SO fun to watch as well haha The doorbell is just a doorbell, we helped The Doorbell Installer pick the blocks and tune on stream 8J there are a few more dotted around the hermits as well - i think tango is your closest neighbor with one as well

Joel, I used LogicalGeekboy’s glow ink farm on a 1.20 Minecraft server and it worked so well, gave me four double chests overflowing with glow ink within a day or so. A bit easier to build as well, and not axolotl powered (which can potentially be killed by drowned spawning too)

The hermitcraft crib segment of the video made me so happy it has such good vibes, and the material gathering montage was very fun! It put a huge smile on my face with the funky music. All the details in your builds are so so so cool! Also I always love a silly boat boys reference 10/10
