Prince was important 'behind the scenes' as well as as an artist. Anyway, do we have new '80s style songs' anymore? I don't know about country, I like some 'club/trance' (ex. Laura Aqui - After Dark or any Emma Hewitt), but newish pop songs seem to veer away from the kind of vibe the '80s' songs had?

I saw the Bangles in a small hall in Ridgefield, CT a couple years back.500 people or so, great show and fun time!

"Do a little Moe, Debbie. Give us a little Moe." That's a salute to Velvet Underground drummer Moe Tucker, whose signature phrasing was 4/4 time on the floor tom. Nice way to false start the song.

No he didn’t. He wrote is as a duet for Apollonia 6, but withdrew it and offered it under a different name two years later to The Bangles

Correct! This wasn't just a one-off in this video. I saw them in concert, and they put everything they had into it. AND they were as happy at the end as the beginning.

Saw them at Santa Monica Civic in 1987. The were great then and they’ve still got it now.

roger - actually no - studio versions are done by profesionals and performers have their wishes but last word are on producer. live version, on the other hand, are completly on performers and somethime they blew it. this song is OK but studio version is way better.
