I agree this is a great cover of a S&G song. However, you must have missed the Yes cover of "America". IMHO that is the definitive version of that song!
I always dug their version of this song...very cool 😎

What's astonishing is hard the riff rocks on acoustic in the original recording. I enjoy the Bangles version more, and Vicki Peterson is an excellent guitarist; but Paul Simon banging that riff on 12-string accoustic is extremely impressive,

I just love it's the original four California girls playing on top of it. There isn't extra back up players or or musicians in the background. It's just the four still sounding and playing so well together! Oh, and having fun.

Super-underrated band, but at least they're known for their music more than being a girl band. Love them!
Well look at that! The Bangles doing a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and bringing back the original retired bass player. These ladies are rocking it here. That first EP the original 4 put out is still rocking!

Absolutely amazing….and they are in their 50’s and 60’s
Real classics never get too old to listen to. Or to look at. The Bangles and their music qualifies on both counts.

Hear, hear.
This past October as in two months ago, the man who wrote this song the one and only Paul Simon turned 82 years old. These ladies still sound as fantastic as ever.
Suzanna Hoffs if i remember her name correct aged beautiful . We all get older and looking at the old pics/vids of us or others are many times reminders of how pretty/goodlooking we all were , some do defend the time very nice , she is one , still very very beautiful woman ... btw great music they made ...
Most ppl don't even know that this is a Simon & Garfunkel song that came out in the late 60s. I saw S&G in 2004, and they sounded so damn good and were so spot on it was amazing. You don't hear much of them today even with all the nostalgia, but to me they are up there with the best of them for their era.

Suzy just gets better with age. My God she's stellar.
The bangles were on MTV in like 82 and there was this 5' very pretty woman with 4' hair , I was like hmmm, me likey !! 😀👍
Still madly in love with Susanna Hoffs after all these years. Such a babe.

Still the most beautiful voice in the world.💗
I would say she is even more beautiful now 😳, it defies logic! Such elegance poise and actitud. She is a close second to Audrey Hepburn, the most beautiful women to have lived. A true lady ❤
No Auto Tune ... I LOVE IT 🥰😉
The Bangles are phenomenal 💜I'm an 80's fan! :)
I love the fact that Susanna Hoff's preferred weapon is the classic Rickenbacker. And she is beautiful as she was thirty five years ago.
Okay, everyone agrees that Susanna Hoffs was and is the most beautiful, but for me, as a teen girl in the 80s, there was nothing more power- and beautiful than Debbi Peterson behind the drums. Especially in this song! I don't know how many times I listened to this bit up and down on my cheap pink Walkman and imagined myself being that cool and playing the drums like Debbi.😆 The Bangles were just the best.🥰
I LOVE this song. One of my top five favorite songs.
Absolutely phenomenal! I love when bands play their old songs!

Susanna Hoffs is gorgeous and intelligent what a great and rare combo
It is nice they finally stabzlized the bass player since Steele left. Now they are back with Annette Zilinskas who started with the band before Michael "Micki" Steele. Annette has been playing with them since 2018 and even though she does not sing, her bass playing is on point.
I take back every negative thing I ever said about the Bangles... wow!
Now as seniors the girls still have it they still look clean and really pretty. That was an enjoyable well played well sung performance.
OMG absolutely AWESOME!! I would LOVE to see The Bangles live in Australia 🤩
