Deboers system is a hell of lot more than some rpo pro style concepts. See Deboer started his career as an offensive line coach. The things he’s does blocking wise is what separates his offense. And creativity eye candy and motions. RTR
In my 18 years of evaluating recruits there’s going to be bust but the things I do is, i evaluate actual game film and not hudl highlights. I evaluate how guys play when there team is down on score board. I have a metric that I go by when it comes to speed and power. High school recruiting for skill players is about which players have actually 4.4 speed and plays fast vs guys who don’t have pure speed. For example Malik Benson from last year everyone thought he was a burner and was going to be able to stretch the defense. I saw game film on him that showed him getting caught from behind. I seen where he in fact was just a regular possession WR. You can’t watch hudl highlights and call yourself evaluating film. Tim smith defensive tackle is another example hudl film had him looking like his 5 ⭐️ rating but I seen on actual game film of him playing too high got his butt turned to the sidelines too much and getting pancaked by guys who went to work at Lowe’s after high school lol. That’s why it took so long for him to develop. RTR

In person evaluations are good too like when I seen Tyrann Matheiu at a camp. I seen that dawg in him and him lock down every WR at the camp. He had natural coverage skills and no wasted movement getting out of breaks. I begged the Alabama guy to offer that man. Bama waited too late to offer. RTR

I use to make my evaluations using hudl film that’s up until I had my first miss evaluation. I miss evaluated a DB we signed out of South Carolina named John Fulton lol since then I’ve looked at actually game film to make my Evals RTR
I like Keelon Russell I think he’s going to be great. Smoke is right, but Russell plays with way more talent than the other guys had.
If AK Dear plays like Bo then we gonna be good for sure. Hope he has Bo heart and dog mentality
