There have been plenty of asian principal ballerinas already. I dont think they are facing same discrimination..

Personally I think a minority will always face discrimination in some way, shape or form. As an American with Southeast Asian Descent I have never seen anyone in ballet that looks like me except one quite recently. And I also felt disappointed when the pink shoes I dreamed of didn't look on me the way they did for others in class. The moment I got darker shoes I felt like I could take a breath.

Yuhui Choe has been in Soloist position for too long when Yasmine Nagdhi got promoted years ago. May Nagahisa is in second Soloist in Mariinsky when she could easily beaten Maria Khoreva in first soloist position. Miko Fogarty also talked about having Asian background makes it more difficult.
