John Denver did a great cover of this song from his album, Autograph in 1980.

Wonderful song written by David Mallett 40 years ago... I still have the LP I listened to over and over.

This song touches my very soul. Great job.... I grew up with musicians and a lot of them have passed.....and one of the places they played is empty and the roof caved in now..... But the memories.....oh the blessed memories....im that daughter and every time I hold that old fiddle....well....thank you again! ❤
