Wish that either Disney went back to its roots by doing these classics again or making like a Classic Disney channel where it shows only Classic Disney movies and cartoons

I still wish someone would just download the whole cartoon. I know its at least 10 minutes long. I use to be able to watch the entire cartoon back in the 80's as a kid. I think we live in a unfair world people!

I remember those. Dating myself, I had the Little Toot record by The Andrews Sisters. 70s era.

I love Texas mythology. Grew up on it. Even Davy Crockett became a legendary Texas mythology. Even though he was a REAL person.....But, you know us Texans....LOL!

this was so fire to me as a kid.

This was my favorite song as a child. Great memories of dressing up in my cowgirl outfit and singing along with my Dad and his guitar. Thanks for posting

@Tancread of Galilee Good old Riders in the Sky! I've enjoyed them for decades. They weren't around in the 1950s when I was a kid watching old westerns but I'm glad they came on the scene later when I was old enough to appreciate the humor.

Just saw the edited portion of the American version. I once read a snippet of the original Pecos Bill legend and found no instance of Bill smoking. Walt and his story team probably threw it in so the 40's audience would admire him more.

I had this on a Sing a long video when I was younger, and they removed the scene with the Red Indians, for obvious reasons!

From California hilariously enough we actually do get monsoon clouds Also the raising air makes clouds is how clouds work so pretty much the clouds just like grays over the tops of some of the cities and then it drops more near the mountains and it has to load up to rain near the coasts so we only really get rain on the coast like everything 3 or 4 years this is so nostalgia

Classic Disney Songs have more heart and soul then todays generic pop and industrious sounds!

Love the history you shared. I first saw it while I was home sick in 6th Grade. I was watching the Disney Channel back in 1989.

You can't look at those beautiful stars anymore in Texas if there's only one!

We've got urban light pollution just about as bad as everywhere else but out in the country the stars are thick and bright. I grew up with the Pecos Bill legend and never heard that story about shooting out the stars - just now saw this cartoon for the first time and I suspect the studio or the songwriter must have made it up.
