So much unrealistic here but hey, not enough good shows out there

I love gory movie, but a stupid dog?! And forever in these sort of movie genre the victim(s) never switch on the light (maybe no living room light, just individual corner lights@as to save electricity?! and pretty lighting for every corner)... So I stopped watching this NZ flick.

I suppose you think that was real blood from a real body ~ it is called ACTING! it's fake blood, and no one was harmed, not even the dog, during the filming of this picture. There are agencies that closely monitor how animals r treated during the filming of pictures, and trust me, this film would not be shown anywhere, if any animal was harmed during the filming of this picture.
