This was for me, a very enlightening piece of work as well as a visually pleasant visual experience. Several clips in the videos of Pico gave me a rush- nice wide panorama shots that add scale-great use of depth of field done in many talented ways--just fun to watch! You also added a new and important perspective to my life-- a new understanding of the natural world that exists in Germany. I devour history voraciously but I just realized today after watching your new video that my knowledge of Germany was all political and steeped in cultural understandings. I knew nothing about the striking natural beauty that one can find in the German countryside! I have some learning and exploring to do! I loved this sharing video, I look forward to getting a card with a pressed flower and I am sending this video around to the more sensitive of my friends. I'm especially excited about sending it to the daughter of one of my lifetime best friends who just had her first child a few months ago. Ola Rahel, Thank you again for an inspiring video (also from Germany), I'm still here, still watching. Even more now when i take a break and relax apreciating your well taken images, (i work as a nurse at nightshifts.), before i return to the hustle and bustle... You show us such great footage, and we forget how wonderful this planet is when we embrace nature And you show us that not only being on a remote island can take our breath away on how beautiful it is but your home country as well... Spring time here in the mountains is nice. The red maple trees are going to have leaves and the colors stand out. The mountains in Germany must be beautiful as well. You can hear the brook in the background. My wife gets water and it is purified. That is the healthiest water straight from the waterfall. I have switched to acrylics since the solvents have toxic material. The neighbors are always coming by and we have a great time. That makes life worth the effort.

I enjoyed seeing your images of Germany. This is the land of my ancestors and I've visited there a few times, but I've never seen the natural areas you showed. So, thanks very much for that. Hello Rahel, This was a wonderful video. Wow, I never knew that Spring would be colder than winter. Quite interesting. Thank you for sharing glimpses of your holiday in Germany. You looked very happy there. Glad that you were refreshed with this trip back home. So wonderful that you have a great relationship both with your mom and with your dad. The only change I would have made here would be in the title because the video is mostly your “post cards” from Germany. Ha, ha. Germany is beautiful. If I may ask, what part of the Germany were you in when you took that hike in the mountains? Lastly, it is wonderful to see your face and have you talk to us.

P.S. Thank you for sharing your observations of how it was to return back to Germany. I don’t know how often you travel to Germany, but these particular observations are unusual. Not having been in Europe in decades, I don’t know what it is like. However, I recently watched a video of life in Poland and the man said that in the wintertime, the quality of air in Poland is not good because of the many factories. He said that during other times, because of the lushness of the plants, the quality of air becomes much better. Very interesting about you feeling uncomfortable with that much sitting. It reminds me of when I was a child and in constant motion. According to a chiropractor I know, being in constant motion and not sitting for long periods of time is actually very healthy for the spine.

I usually return back to Germany once per year. It doesn't feel like the quality of air is particularly bad there, it is more so that I'm just not used to enclosed spaces and heated air.

@@RahelStadler Wow, that's wonderful that you get to see your family so frequently and get a different perspective. I hear you about enclosed spaces and heating. Here, in Miami, we don't use heat really, but we love our air conditioning because it is so hot and humid 24/7 for at least 6 months out of the year.
