Glad I came across this video. I want to get back into slot racing... I have an old Scalextric set... and several cars of many different brands. Some analog, some digital, and I wanted just one track were I could use them all. This certainly looks like the way to go. I will buy a Digital Carrera set and order that box.

The Box looks great Travis. If this box works just like the Tek-Slot Box.. once you have the controllers coded in analog.. you won't have to recode them again unless you change controllers. The chips are in front of the lanes.. so the cars don't actually have to be on the track at all when coding. Code the controllers and throw any analog car on the lane and go!

Llove your channel and this box looks very promising! I missed out on the TekSlots box unfortunately, don't care for the OmniBox (although it's very cool) and not going to spend $800 plus for it! Wood love to buy one of these (and confused why Carrera themselves haven't sold this as an optional part!) but I don't do FB, how to buy one please?

Did you have to rewire the curved lane changers Travis?

Looks easier than the omni box. Do you need to change wiring on lane changers? Do you need to have an aftermarket power supply? If its really 800 bucks tho its not in my budget for now but I love that you can still use the wireless controllers

@@thatslotcarguy in analog mode right? I haven’t used it in analog mode but I have seen their demo video, it seems to work well, the problem is that it’s convoluted with two devices. It’s hard for the kids to turn on and keep working. I wish I could just put the iPad by the side of the track and that’s it.

Why cant Carrera make a friggin simpler solution? They suck. Their new guard rail system is also crap. The old red plastic guard rails are 100x better.
