I may or may not be early

I've been an Avs fan since 96, I was 7 years old. Am I the only one who doesn't think this team is actually a contender, and the cup win a few years ago was kind of a fluke. They don't have an NHL level goalie in the organization, the defense has a couple nice pieces, but still has holes. And the forward core is a disaster, way to many often injured players that they need to cut ties with. They need to stop with this emotionally charged hanging on to guys, just for the warm and fuzzy feeling his last name brings. They need to go back to the 90's avs and be ruthless with their roster moves, and actually push for cups while they have a few good younger pieces, a la the golden nights of recent.

idk what team you were watching back in 2022 they literally only lost 4 games but I do kinda see what you are saying. I think the forward core is fine, if everyone can stay healthy. The defense is fine, they just play up and down, when they were clicking in 2022 that's what happens. As for the goaltending, we are fine. Georgiev was out best player in the dallas series and Anunen is going to be a good back up. Our problem is playing consistently. Also, idk why you brought up the golden knights, they just lost in the first round
