There's a "small" problem with describing Augustus as ending the Republic, when the imperial succession was never hereditary, and his own positionS (plural) added up to a combination of republican offices that added up to a supreme republican magistrature (Princeps, Primus inter pares etc). The idea that the Senatorial Roman Republic was democratic flies in the face of the reality that the aristocrats murdered anyone - Julius Caesar included - who won the support of the plebeians whom the aristocratic Senate was determined to keep in their "place"... Agrarian reform (not to mention land for retired veterans) being just one example of the kind of positive change that could get you killed, like the Gracchi (Tiberius and Caius) brothers.

No they get it wrong and may not even understand what Roma or how Roma was run lol they are the ones that up held the republic and after that lost the republic to the plebs lol
