For a time I did "seasonal spreads" in my bullet journal as a way to capture seasonal vibes/reflections or make seasonal bucket lists...instead of just monthly, which always seems like a not quite right amount of time. I was reminded of it when you were chatting about the quarterly pages...might be a nice gentle way to make use of those.

Counting suggestion. If you have less than 10 or so items in a packet use that cutting mat of yours to help you keep track. Line up each card with the numbers on your mat so you have a visual and don't have to remember. (It'll look sort of like a game of solitaire only they'll be lined up with the numbers on the left side of your mat). Hope it works. Stay spooky! 👻 p.s. If you haven't seen Tim Burton's version of Sleepy Hollow--- I think you'll really love the vibes.

Belated Happy Halloween, hope you had a great time 🎃 Linked to another of your interests - have you seen that BBC2 have a new series coming out called Killing Sherlock, which will air in December? It explores Conan Doyle's relationship with the character he created. Part of It was filmed in my old village which is famous for a case (The Wyrley Rippings/George Edalji case) that Conan Doyle decided to investigate himself. (It also features in the Julian Barnes novel Arthur & George.) The series will tie in with a Mark Gatiss adaptation of one of Conan Doyle's ghost stories. You may well already know about all this but, if not, hope it might give you a little something to look forward to, to soften the post-Halloween comedown slightly. I have it too already, I get what you mean about the world aligning with your interests for a while 😢

Have you read any of Brom's books? They aren't easily accessible in my country so I personally haven't but I've heard that his books are amazing for spooky season and have amazing creepy illustrations!

The one the hot chocolate is poured from? It’s the hotel chocolat velvetiser, it’s specifically for making hot chocolate/foamed milk rather than for boiling water in!
