My cousin was the only person I knew that had both an Atari and a tv in his bedroom. He would only let me watch him and my other older cousin play it. Whenever I asked to play it, he'd say, "Not now but maybe later ". Well, "later" never ever came. Some months go by and for Xmas I received the NES, and he asked me if he could play it with me. I said "Not now, maybe later" lol. People could be pretty petty about their stuff back then.

I like your videos, mostly 'cause you play those games and consoles, not just collect them (like so many others that only focus on collecting and say nothing 'bout games or their experience with them). You remind me of Classic Game Room and Happy Console Gamer. On a side note though, the Fairchild Channel F was actually the first console with interchangeable cartridges.

Ms. Pac-Man, Phoenix, Q*bert, Super Cobra, Stargate (Defender II), and Wizard of Wor are all excellent arcade ports. Montezuma's Revenge and Megamania are two of the best original games. Just the opinions of an old-schooler who grew up with the 2600. 😎

You should check out Pitfall 2. It utilizes extra chips (like Mario 3) for the sound and it sounds closer to an NES game than a 2600 game. It's also just a better game than the first. Dig Dug has a pretty good port on 2600. Seems much less compromised than Pac Man. There's also a bunch of cool homebrew games that push the system to it's limit. Great Video!

Wow, a channel that showcases old hardware with a real crt and not a laggy modern display. So tired of watching videos of people showcasing old games and complaining about controls while using a laggy tv and blaming it on the hardware.

these games give me anxiety because there isn't a clear goal, you're just doing the same thing over and over until you die of old age. Hits too close to home imo. Btw, in the Pitfall PS2 game you can play the original if you bring the torch to a certain ruin

ET was a game that obviously needed a few more weeks development time, if you ever try it, it was actually quite an ambitious game for the 2600. Spielberg would have been fine with a Pac-Man knockoff. But what the man behind Yar’s Revenge brought us was a complex game with a few rather inconvenient gameplay issues.

Oh how cute Atari could be your grandaddy. It was MY babysitter at night in the late 70s and early 80s. My mother didnt care what i did as long as it didnt bother her. My favorite game was Cosmic Ark. Then Baseball, Pac Man and Combat. Great system. I have a Sunnyvale Heavy six and several others but NOT my original one from Sears. 😢

You seen the new Atari 2600+? I think it's awesome that they released modern hardware is both compatible with contemporary TVs and the original cartridges of both the 2600 and 7800. Plus, there is the 50th anniversary collection, the flashback collections, and the "Recharged" games for current-gen consoles/PC. All this will help classic Atari stay playable for years the come. Now, I want to see what entirely new stuff Atari can do moving forward. (Not a sponsored comment, just like Atari. Guess I'm an amateur shill, lol.) Edit: I know they put out the VCS a few years ago. From what I understand, it is a console/PC hybrid. Need to look at some reviews to understand more about what it is capable of. I bring the VCS up to say that Atari is doing new stuff. I just hope they continue to do so, and that they continue to improve. I want to see Atari be the best it can be :)

Okay.Let me explain something no one doesn't realize only until the time they played it in the time of the eighties... Atari games got people mad... Because games got harder and hard a friend said To me. In early 90's 1992 he told me! I said yes, You are right & But it's all about Beating your own score and everyone else's If it's that insane hard, which is your real challenge system was the regular NES! You is rewarded with an actual good cinematic ending sometimes.
