I dont know but Man, all these reviews and comments I've seen about the ROG Ally are saying it isn't worth it. And, its actually making me not want to get one anymore and get a Steam Deck instead.. 😕

What's wrong people saying that. Both systems has there Pro and Cons. Go for what you like ! For me personally it's more the price. It's a cool system and can run AAA games well. But 800€ vs the 400€ Steam deck base model. Knowing AMD they will keep improving and do better. Rather choose low risk option.

@@shadowhunterrxnot much of a risk with the ally you get what you pay for 100 percent and its still being supported daily. Easily the better handheld functionality and performance wise.

Glad to see your content starting to be a variety of gaming and not just Nintendo focused...

Man I've been looking for emulation test on thus machine, plus you're actually testing PS3/X360 games...and Some Mortal Kombat! Amazing video! I just wished we had more ps3 games tested.

Can we assume with the extreme one that we're getting a higher frequency and that we can hold a higher 120 or 160 Hz compared to the? Regular one.

Getting my pre-order in this week with the dock for extra power. Going to be my pc/console replacement looking forward to getting it. Great to see some emulated games working well to.

@@nolifezay4636 the dock is to plug it into my TV and from the reviews I've seen you can get most games 2k/4k when using the dock. This device for me will replace my AMD Ryzen 5/1070GTX/16gb ram gaming pc for my gaming needs as I own a surface for my pc needs and my Duo as mobile needs.

Is Batocera going to be compatible on the Rog Ally? Because I have a SD card with all my PS2 games & and bunch of other games emulated on there that I use for my Steam Deck. It would be pretty awesome if i could use it on my Rog Ally too

This console looks insane I hope this console does very well now I’m rethinking whether the handhelds are coming back!!🙂

I'm going to ask a dumb question. I have a Steam Deck. It's Linux based. Anyway, I can copy over my files and save some time getting the Ally up and running? I do a few games from every emulator out there. Just curious or must I start from scratch since the Ally is Windows based?

nice vid... I am impressed... I just cant see a time I would play one of these over a gaming laptop... But this looks so much better and open than a steam deck...I think for on the go the rg35xx is more for me...which I bought after the other vid you did and loving (you put on garlicos on it yet).

well with this you aren't tethered to an outlet like a gaming laptop, you probably get more play time, and it's not a large bulky and loud machine. You also don't have to have a table or desk to sit it on, and don't have to balance it on your knees in the absence of one. it's honestly a better experience in every scenario except for when you're seated at a desk.

How can you emulate PS3 and emulators that require a mouse/trackpad to select the game? they don't let you with a controller. That's where the Steamdeck is better. Do you have to plug a mouse in on the ally to select ps3 games on rpcs3?

Once the emulator is on the console and the games are in the right folder they appear when emulator is loaded

Can i play with this console in my TV?

Im having a problem setting up the rog ally for mame using launchbox/Big Box. So I can set it all up everything works but only in desktop mode but that is not idea I want to play in gamepad mode I can get the joystick to work in gamepad mode but not the buttons. I think I'm doing something wrong in mame. Any help from anyone would be great (not a press tab and do it that way tho lol) The main problem I am having is trying to assign the B button as button 3 in desktop mode. no matter what I try when I press B it acts as the escape key in BigBox and goes back I know its because I am having to play in desktop mode......really frustrated trying to work this out

I d love to see some fps indicators on screen during these vids. Fraps, msi afterburner something.

I never mess with emulators, but I have some nostalgia lately and I would love to play all old games. I have been checking the ROG Ally, and I was wondering if there’s an easy way to download the ROM, some place where I could find them all to collect them and install them. I know the emulators aren’t too difficult to find and install, but the ROM are the main “legal” issues and nobody want to provide link, or advertise for them, etc… I would love to find a one stop solution where I could just download one big file, dezip everything and copy all files to the ROG Ally drive or SD Card… does it make sense?

I guess no one will show Yuzu or Ryjinx emulators on Rog Ally until it officially launches. I own a real Switch, but still curious about the emulation speed.

im just thankful i have a Laptop that can run all the way too the Nintendo Switch and its carryable,its not 4k support but 1080 p and runs fine never really had any problems
