Those pieces are not jewellery They're museum pieces or works of art! And he is a true artist. Only his canvas and paint are metal and stones. Just breathtaking.

Now this is art AND wearable jewellery at the same time.

My engraving teacher always pronounced "intaglio" as in-tall-e-oh. The center stone with the seagulls was probably done by hollowing out and polishing the reverse of the stone and then (possibly) carving the seagulls into the field and filling in with paint, or just painting the seagulls of the inner surface. After faceting the top of the stone the seagulls became reflected several times animating the flock. It's a nice idea, but not really a mystery.

Thank you for showing us these beatiful and amazing pieces of jewelry. Of course for anyone who is fascinated by this marvelous city which is Istanbul. It is not surprising to always find new forms of amazing art & culture. Istanbul for me is the most fascinating city un the world. Like Nápoleon said: if the world were a single country, its capital would be Istanbul.

Interesting. Enjoyed info. Music too loud. Background noise loud but ads to atmosphere. Vocal volume too low. Can't hear opening.
