It's like here in Canada Margret Trudeau getting $250,000 from the WE charity. For socializing at events, not for talking. You could smell the corruption off them. The people who worked for the charity can tell lots of stories.

That’s the point of auctioning them off. Do you think someone with a collection of gems or anything can just snap their fingers and POOF! Instantly the items magically turn into money or directly into bags of rice or something? That’s not possible. That’s why items such as these go to auction houses where people with the money bid on said items, and then IF they have the winning bid....... The auction house takes transfers the funds from the bidders banking information that they then divide amongst the various charities who have people working for them who do the legwork like farmers, doctors, drivers, and other suppliers of services that people in need then receive. Welcome to how shiny expensive things get turned into the basics of survival for people who cannot provide them for themselves. AKA...... The world of Charitable Organizations.

Because corundum tends to have fine surface scratches after a lifetime of wear, and especially if they were ever kept in pouches with say other jewelry most likely diamonds where they jostled against each other causing micro abrasions. It's a pain. But I do believe they should have polished them prior to the sale. Because I mean....... that step cut diamond ring from the Golconda Mines is EVERYTHING!
