It's not just for our enjoyment. These guys work with law enforcement to help catch them where possible, and work hard to disrupt the scammers to at least slow them down.

Unfortunately, as well meaning as that concept seems, it would be helping the scammers become better scammers. Best advice to follow: don't answer numbers you don't recognize, bc even if you say hello, and they don't speak, it can record you voice and generate your voice via ai for future scams. Contact the financial institutions or companies directly, never from the text or email being received bc they will not contact you that way. Do not let on that you know they are what they are or and miniscule details, just block it, immediately every time. Don't let them learn from their mistakes or get false sense of accomplishment from not being caught.

One of my favorite parts of scambaiting is when the scammer pretends to be freaking out over the overpayment, then the scambaiter later makes the scammer express genuine freaking out when the scam doesn’t go as planned 😂

I’m 75 and receive 20 to 30 spam calls a day and at least 1 to 2 Geek, Norton, Pay Pal, Amazon etc texts or emails. I tell them all contact I get is forwarded to Scammer Payback. If they get mad I ask if their families know they cheat grandmas for a living. They usually don’t say anything more and gang up or start yelling at me. My other vintage lady friends gave the same problem. It’s crazy. Thank you for all your payback.😃👍

Even I was scammed once. He got so pissed off and used dirty language when I wasn't giving him my pass code or pin number.

I love how he adjusted the savings account but threw the "refund" under the checking transactions. This scammer was so incompetent LOL

Allow me to elaborate further: It was one of those “hey-i-accidentally-reported-your-account-for-suspicious-activity-so-you-gotta-bring-it-up-to-this-other-guy” kind of scam. It all seemed legitimate especially when this “other guy” who I was told was supposed to be a steam support agent showed me his “certificate” and even a GIF/Live footage of him showing his administrative options where he would scroll down on my account and show the following: “Ban account”, “Delete account”, etc. It wasn’t till long that I figured it was all through some sort of platform to make it look like he had those privileges. So for my Steam users here, despite being told that this is even one of the oldest scamming methods ever used in the history books: If anyone tells you that they “accidentally” reported your account, either block them or just troll with them, as long as you’re careful

A long time ago (before y'all started this channel) I would mess with scammers when they called me. My #1 goal was to get them to hang up in frustration. Keep doing what you do, man.

Lol. I had a scammer call me a couple years ago saying they were from the IRS. They told me in a barely comprehensible Hispanic accent that I owed money to the government. I told them to learn to speak proper English before they try scamming people. Dude said “F you!” I said: I just F’d your mother last night. Then he hung up on me. Such a rude young man. 😏

They call me on the daily if not every day and They always on the google search engine call any customer service and the likely hood of you getting a scammer is very high

I just got a email today by one of these scammers saying I was billed $600 from Norton antivirus. Used a gmail account to email me lol.

I work at a bank and I can tell you that the answer to someone asking for $31,000 in cash is going to be "No". That much has to be ordered as well as paperwork and reporting that we have to do. And we will call the other local branches and let them know that someone is trying to withdraw that much and might come to their branch as well. We will generally do everything we can to talk someone out of a large cash withdrawal like that if it seems like they're being scammed.

​@@scuffediceposeidon9178paypal is still going to flag your bank for sure since the transfer has to happen from your bank over PayPal to begin with. Western union however is pretty well known to let large transfers just happen, lots of people use it for less than legal reasons

My son (26) connected me to your channel a few months ago and I have been greatly enjoying your jerking around of all these scammers and getting a few of them raided. You folks seem to be enjoying your work entirely too much - but I hope you keep up the great work. FYI: I sent a the website to my parents (80's) who have actually been called by someone trying to pull this on them. Because of listening to your broadcast, they realized it was not quite on the up-and-up. So you have helped one additional couple (my parents) with just your broadcasts. They in turn have sent it on to friends of theirs at church and even further. Keep up the great work. I was in Kolkata a couple of months ago, I happened to meet a scammer through an acquaintance. Surprisingly he was boastful about his work and how much money he had made by scamming old grannies. When I asked him if he ever felt bad about it, he said these guys looted us for 200 years and now its our chance 😂 made all these boomers laugh right there. I wasn’t able to understand the numbers and some details he stated because he had a bengali accent and he did not speak hindi very well.

These scams encompass the globe, so citing some sort of revenge to a specific party doesn't work. Scammers: find another way to believe you won't be punished for your treatment of those people.

The name Alex seems to be a popular name for these scammers. With the desperation this guy was showing at the end through the voice mails he reminded me of the guy Alex who Kitboga strung along for hours and hours while playing an old lady a while back. It would be a stretch for it to be the same guy but it would be sweet if it were.

Scammer just got my mom. Was talking to her for a while. Weeks maybe more. Sent her 26k check that turned out counterfeit. Then asked for cell phone services and 3 or 4 iPhone 15s. Said he was an engineer and they went to school together. ID picture he sent was a real person but not him. The smammer knew everything about the person in the ID. Even had pictures of his dead fathers grave in our home town. My mom is sad. I warned her a week ago. I overheard her talking about gift cards and she was all secretive when someone was around. Made me think back to these videos. Smammer got her bank account numbers. Luckily teachers retirement is protected.

Was just asked at Walgreens if I knew who I was buying a gift card for. Immediately thought of you guys helping save victims
